  1. A couple of days after a Rao is photographed at Ewood and I’m already getting admonished in public and complaints by PM. Jeez, piss off Venkys, you’re not wanted... ...you’re tolerated.
  2. It’s simple. When they return us to where we were before they rocked up they will get a clean slate.
  3. On this occasion, no. But nice to see you’ve still got that belligerent groundless argumentative streak in you, Phil. You’ve been far too reasonable in recent years. Anyone who suggests Venkys are in any way superior to Jack Walker is... being very polite... thick.
  4. Oddly worded poll. “How would you feel?” I wouldn’t boo or anything but I’d definite feel resentment and annoyance.
  5. Some of those quotes are frankly disgusting. Shameful. All it takes is for a photo of a Rao or a Venky near the club and all of the old problems return. They need to stay away or we’ll have more animosity returning. It just goes to show what I’ve said for a while. Some fans have the memories of goldfish. Or are just a bit thick.
  6. Always funny reading the epiphanies of Rovers fans once a player stops wearing the blue and white halves...
  7. So new contracts are compulsory then? Did Shearer force a move? Hoilett? Probably hundreds of others. Why does Mahoney get singled out for the mercenary treatment? Probably because of morons and social media. He did absolutely the right thing in my book. Bet Nuttall wishes he hadn’t been tricked into signing a new deal.
  8. Would you be even more grateful that they decided - purely out of courtesy - not to turn of the life support machine. They just need to stay away and keep their traps shut. Every time they have been audible/visible they have made fools of themselves and us. Their only value to Rovers is to keep putting 50ps in the meter that our life support machine is attached to.
  9. Stay away Raos. The fan unrest has almost completely stopped simply because you lot have kept away. There is no kudos for you. You’ve done less than half a job in terms of undoing the ruination of this club. When we are 14th in the PL you can come back - minus fleet of rollers.
  10. Forced a move? Laughable. That kid loved Rovers. After being encouraged by Lambert, he was then frozen out under Coyle and by the time Mowbray got here he had already seen the writing on the wall and had a move lined up. How well are any of the youngsters - even from Mahoney’s group - faring under Mowbray? His track record so far of developing youngsters from our own stable isn’t great. Here are some 2018/19 senior team appearance stats (taken from transfermarkt.com): Mahoney Age 21 15 games 14 Championship (642 mins) 1 EFL Cup (66) (708) Nuttall Age 21 6 games 4 Championship (117) 2 EFL (118) (235) Tomlinson Age 20 1 game 1 EFL Cup (9) (9) Travis Age 21 8 games 5 Championship (80) 3 EFL (270) (350) Hardcastle Age 20 Loan: Port Vale 9 games 6 L2 (197) 3 EFL trophy (244) (441) Platt Age 21 Loan: Stanley 4 EFL trophy (254) 1 EFL (90) “Mercenary” Mahoney has played more first team minutes than the rest of our U23s youngsters put together. The only one who gets close is a Lewis Hardcastle playing in League 2. Connor also featured in 8 Championship games (334) last season for Barnsley while Joe managed 13 games (425) in League One. Did he make the right move it the wrong one? It didn’t work out at Bournemouth for whatever reason but I bet he got a fantastic education working in Eddie Howe’s fold. Mowbray doesn’t even play with wingers if he can help it! It seems that you have to leave (even on loan) to get senior game time under Mowbray. At the end of the day, that’s Tony’s prerogative - to get results for the first team. But I wouldn’t blame any youngster for putting their career and ambition first while he overlooks players - even to the point of promoting them only to demote them again as soon as others are fit. At the same time he goes out shopping for youth to go into the first team squad, Brereton, Palmer and Davenport for example. Patience is a virtue not in great supply in football. Those knocking Mahoney need to have a re-think.
  11. This is exactly my worry. At least he will be getting tested in Div 1 of the reserves. Wharton will almost certainly have gone backwards in terms of his game development this season.
  12. Nixon’s pride wouldn’t let him return to the board but if he did then his ego wouldn’t let him hide behind another name.
  13. I still blame Mowbray in part for that. Dropping him for Samuel first time out did him no favours. Then Samuel getting injured did nobody any favours. Trouble is that the same is likely to happen again only now with Brereton blocking his path. If Nuttall isn’t in Rovers plans then surely he has to go on loan? I really want Nuttall to be a success at Rovers but I just don’t think he will be under Mowbray. To be fair tough he is still only 21. Will everyone have the necessary patience?
  14. Finished Joe Nuttall 4-0 Doncaster Rovers Second half was a bit subdued. The rain didn’t help as the ball didn’t bounce properly so it looked a bit like a game of futsal. Donny player sent off about 5 minutes or so from the end. Didn’t change much. Decent run out. Always nice to watch a Rovers side win. Very one sided contest though in truth.
  15. 4-0. Guess who. Cracker from the edge of the box!
  16. It’s been a good half. Stefan (Mols) and Paton have been quick getting forward. Not a huge amount to do at the back. Can’t recall a single Donny shot. Nuttall looks like he’s enjoying his football again. Not exactly playing with a smile on his face but putting himself about. Cross and tap-in, 1-0 Mols tripped, penalty, 2-0 Cross and header inside the box, 3-0 Mols has a chance to make it four on the stroke of half time but struck wide under pressure. The rain has started lashing down too - could make for an interesting second half on a greasy surface. Glad for this corrugated tin roof!
  17. That’s a dreadful draw. But at the same time it’ll be a great occasion.
  18. First half hat trick for Nuttall against Donny U23s. Called it after his first goal. They can’t cope with him - or our speed of attack.
  19. Why are we comparing a footballer to an apprentice tradesman? Brereton is a regular Championship footballer - even at 19. Agehas nothing to do with his current situation. Graham is having a decent season but Brereton is behind him because Mowbray won’t yet give him a chance. Preferring to play Armstrong and even Palmer ahead of him when Graham is out! It’s such an obvious miss that it must be financial based on his loan contract.
  20. Tip: when inserting pictures, upload your pic, get to the stage below and then tap on the uploaded photo and it’ll insert it at the point in the text you want it to go. and then you can carry on typing. ??
  21. Maybe those 7 will continue to get by without a Championship red button - however, I expect given the proximity to Ewood many of them would be down at Ewood anyway. Places like Rishton and Great Harwood in the no mans land between Blackburn, Accy and the dark side will have Rovers ‘fans’ who don’t go but may have family/children that do. If the club want people out of the pub and into the ground, make it attractive, don’t try to kill the competition. Northerners have short noses and long memories.
  22. Good post. The bit in bold though won’t be a reasonable or acceptable excuse for long while we are spending money. If we don’t address problem areas.
