  1. Sheff W will finish above us now with 2 winnable games to come. If Birmingham get anything at Huddersfield next week then we are done. They will beat Norwich on the final day as they'll already be in the play offs. Last week we looked safe, now we look like a decent bet to go down.
  2. This is up there with Bristol City. Gutless.
  3. Pears. Never play for us again. Back in trouble.
  4. We need to wake up here. Sleepwalking through the half and we look like we have mistakes in us at the back. Sheff W have been awful though.
  5. Playing for a point is never a good game plan as you're generally sunk if you concede the first goal. I don't think we'll play for a point today but we won't overcommit either as we know a point is probably enough. Think the game is set up very nicely for us as we know Sheff W have to go for it which should leave gaps at the back for Sammie. We tend to struggle when we have to try and break other teams down.
  6. Good starting 11 and one that should win today. I think we'll be too strong for them. I would take a draw though and get this season over with. Sheff W fans seem unhappy with their starting 11 which is always a good sign.
  7. I think this will end up a draw and that will do us very nicely. Lose and it will be a nervous couple of weeks, but we'll still probably be OK after that huge Leeds win. We'd have to lose all the next 3 to go down. Our rivals have some nice fixtures tomorrow though which is a cause for concern. Huddersfield should beat Swansea, Birmingham surely have to beat Rotherham even though they have a new manager, I fancy Stoke to beat Plymouth, Preston are rubbish and done for the season so QPR will probably win that one. We could well be just a couple of points off the bottom 3 come the time we play.
  8. There surely can be no excuses for not spending money this summer. We are told that Venkys can now send money across, barring some small "minor technical challenges"; we sold Wharton for £22m; are getting circa £4m for Raya; more TV money to the tune of around £2m; and Sammie will go for around £10-12m. That's £40m+ in revenue. I know most of that is paid in instalments but we can also pay transfer fees in instalments too. I fully expect a summer of spending buttons, making administrative 'mistakes' on any transfer involving a fee, and signing non-entities like Telalovic, though. We are now purely all about developing young players and have been for some time. There's no ambition to get promoted. I wouldn't give a penny to Broughton anyway. I dread to think how much money he'd waste. His record in the transfer market is atrocious. Anyone who thinks we should pay a fee for Leo, our worst GK in history, clearly does not have an eye for a player.
  9. A terrible day for QPR. I'd be getting very concerned if I was them. We prob have done enough now but 1 more point at least would be nice. We're decent at home under Eustace - only losing to Ipswich - so I'd expect us to get a point in one of the next 2 home games.
  10. That's huge for us that goal. Turned a very bad set of results into good ones. Sheff W and Hudds have a very tough task to overtake us now
  11. I love Bristol City😂
  12. I hate Bristol City. You must knew they'd not show up today.
  13. They've lost that one then. Preston, Leeds, Coventry to play. They're back in it big time.
  14. QPR losing. They could be back in big trouble if they lose today with their fixtures to come.
  15. That certainly makes up for Wednesday. An away day masterclass.
  16. Even if we lose today we have at least shown some guts and fight unlike on Wednesday.
  17. We'll take that at ht. The big problem is we have no attacking threat at all so when Leeds inevitably score, we have no chance of getting back into it. Nice to see their fans getting frustrated though.
  18. God we're awful. Painful to watch.
  19. Too passive. We're just waiting for Leeds to score.
  20. It's now between us, Birmingham, Sheff W, and Huddersfield for the final two spots. I had Plymouth to go down but that's an incredible result for them tonight and sees them safe. Fair play to them though. I see it this way: We'll lose tomorrow and against Leicester, and draw against Sheff W and Cov. 48 points in total. Birmingham will lose tomorrow, beat Rotherham, draw against Hudds, and draw against Norwich. 47 points. Sheff W will win tomorrow, draw against us, beat WBA and draw at Sunderland. 49 points. Huddersfield will draw against Bristol City, draw against Brum, win against Swansea, and lose to Ipswich. 48 points. That would keep us up on GD but the championship is so unpredictable. The only thing that is predictable is that we prob won't win another game so we are reliant on other results.
  21. Dreadful result for us. Takes Plymouth out of it and means Leicester will need a result on the final day now. We're in big trouble. I wouldn't be surprised if Huddersfield get a win tomorrow and Bristol City do us over twice in a week.
  22. I wish that was the case but there's no way we lose the next 4 and stay up. One more win will see us safe but after how bad last night was and how bad Eustace's win record is, I'm struggling to see how we get a win with our fixture list. If we don't get another win then we go down.
