  1. This is a huge game. If we win then we're pretty much safe. If we lose and results go against us then we are back in big trouble with 4 games left and Leeds, Leicester and Coventry to play. If we play like we have been then we are more than capable of winning this one as Bristol have very little to play for. They're such an unpredictable team though that will be tough to get a result against if they are at it. I don't rate Preston at all so it wouldn't shock me if Hudds beat them. Sheff W are a very plucky team so, again, I wouldn't be shocked if they got a result against Norwich. Brum simply have to beat Cardiff at home and I think they will. Millwall and Plymouth should lose though. I still think Plymouth will go down despite their win the other day. Then it's anyone's guess really. Plymouth, Hudds, Brum, Millwall look faves at the moment to join Rotherham. Still too close for comfort for my liking. Let's get this season over ASAP.
  2. Huge point. One more win should do it now. Two of the bottom 3 winning doesn't help but its in our own hands and there's no doubt we've improved massively and look like a team who may not need to rely on others doing us favours anymore.
  3. I actually think we could get something from this game, possibly even a win. Winning so comprehensively in our last game will mean the players will be feeling very confident, and with our best front 4 players all playing again it means we have far more attacking threat now. Saints don't have a lot to play for as they're firmly in the play offs. Armstrong will score though!
  4. That stat is no surprise this season. Bringing on the likes of Markanday, Moran, Garrett, Telalovic et al means you are relying on league 1/2 players to see the game out.
  5. Still buzzing after the win yesterday. How bad are Sunderland though. They are my dark horses for relegation next season. They are following the same blueprint as us - slash the wage budget, sell your experienced players and rely on youth. Their best player, Clarke, will leave in the summer and they'll employ a yes man in the dug out, all of which spells disaster. They're being run into the ground by their owners. We know the feeling all too well.
  6. Foster is style over substance, much like a lot of managers, including our previous one! They hadn't scored a goal at home for 5 matches. He deserved the sack. Appointing your Director of Football as interim manager is something that even Venkys haven't done (yet!).
  7. Plymouth confirm they have sacked their manager...and that their Director of Football and First Team Coach will be in charge for the rest of the season. Putting a director of football in temporary charge feels like a relegation decision to me. I feared they may appoint someone like Warnock which would have given them a chance. I feel they are now the faves for thr drop alongside Sheff W. Rotherham obviously went a long time ago.
  8. I agree, we're not safe but things are looking a lot better than they did before todays games. 4 points will be enough to keep us up and if we keep those front 4 fit and JRC then we have a good chance. Plymouth lost a very winnable home game today and time is running out for them. They lack the experience and nous at this level - they do have Rotherham next though and will surely change their manager. I think Millwall losing today and Stoke drawing were also very significant results. I don't think either will go down but we do need them to stay in the mix so that they are fully up for the games they have against Plymouth and Hudds.
  9. Incredible. 4 more points and we should be safe. One of the most important wins we've had for a long time and we did it in style.
  10. A 3 game swing with 6 games left is a tough ask. Well, I hope so anyway.
  11. Sheff W losing 2-0 which means they are very unlikely to be able to catch us now. Needs Hudds and Plymouth to lose. Both the most likely two to fill that 3rd relegation slot.
  12. Excellent first half. I actually still don't expect us to win. A huge amount of work still left for us to do before this is over.
  13. A very winnable game today. I expect a draw. Eustace is a draw/loss specialist.
  14. I'm actually a fan of Eustace and think he's a decent manager. But there's no doubt he's done a really poor job so far. In the 10 games he's been here we've had some very winnable games - most notably Millwall and Plymouth at home - but we've got nowhere near winning a game since he arrived. The performances have been abysmal too. He's tightened up the defence and performances have been slightly better recently, but you don't get 3 points with slightly better performances and draws. We need wins! Other results went for us yesterday which negated the Ipswich result (still 3 points clear as we were before the start of this round of games), but I struggle to see us picking up enough points to stay up. Sunderland is a very winnable game on Monday but we all know we probably won't win it. Realistically, we then have 2 games left where we can pick up points - Sheff W and Bristol. I'd hazard a strong guess we won't win either of those either. It really is a depressing time to be a Rovers fan. There is no glimmer of light for this club at the moment. The owners are scum.
  15. Same, I cannot see us winning another game this season. We're a soft touch and have only one quality attacking player.
  16. We are going down with an absolute wimper. We've not been close to winning a game for nearly 2 months.
  17. All down to Pears that one. He's cost us today, just as he did at Portman Road. The performance was decent overall but we have a shocking GK and no attacking quality. 0 wins in the first 10 games for the new manager. Has to be the worst start to a managerial reign at this club ever?
  18. We have no attacking quality. Painful to watch. And that's why you need a good GK too.
  19. It would be a miracle if we come back to win this. We barely create a chance.
  20. We've done better so far than I expected us to. But another game we're most likely not going to get a win from and that makes it 0 wins in 10 for the new manager. That's a dreadful record.
  21. Ref is appalling. Almost as bad as Pears. We are bereft of quality all over the pitch. Ipswich barely had to get out of first gear so far.
  22. Shocking GK. We have the two worst GKs in the league. Men against boys here. A matter of how many today.
  23. Results have gone for us today apart from Stoke. We've been given a lifeline.
