  1. Jones injuries were serial and with long-term consequences. He was a reckless defender who cost himself an even better career than he had. Never able to fulfil all his promise.
  2. Quality and price tend to go together, though its still possible to get a bargain. However we have a scatter-gun approach to transfers, Sign a few for next to nothing in the hope that a couple will turn out OK. Then accept the accolades for "playing a blinder" and ignore the failures. Its not a recipe for inspiring confidence is it? By the way we're not top 6 anymore, did you notice? Finally can you please check your posts before you send them, I'm still trying to disentangle that penultimate last sentence and its very annoying.
  3. Whatever people think of Dolan he shouldn't be going for next to nothing as he inevitably will. Its often highlighted how much money Venkys have put in but rarely how much they have thrown away.
  4. Maybe its me but I can't see anything wrong with it. Its what you'd expect from any new coach. He has to say something by way of introduction so what else could he say?
  5. It could have been worse but its hardly a step forward. We had a better manager than him.
  6. Controversial view! On the football side of it Wharton played a big hand in Palace's first 3 goals. I love watching him but its with enormous regret.
  7. Everything in the garden rosy then? Not a care.....
  8. If he sees that we need a new keeper and that we shouldn't bugger about with the ball on the edge of our own goal-line that'll be a good start for me.
  9. Good point. We keep going with them till their contract's up to save money. Or we come to an arrangement. We don't sack. This is not a normal club.
  10. We are consistently hopeless in terms of decision-making on anything. I assume the problem is that anything costing money has to be referred to India. We are so slow, decisions take so long they become irrelevant eg the player has signed for someone else or ,in the case of the manager, the season is nearly over. Utterly depressing. No way can we thrive in this environment, the players must feel they are not supported by the owners and they are wasting their time.
  11. And what will we be next week, or the week after? W e're hanging on and the posse gets bigger every time I look!
  12. But what makes it worse is that Swansea have spent less!!
  13. We should never have sold Kaminski.
  14. That Play-Off game against Burnley looking a long way off now. Another season of what could have been followed by a shit show in the summer. The life of a Rovers fan eh?
  15. also parachute money.Burnley living off it.
  16. You do it all the time.
  17. Anything to slag off your fellow fans.
  18. Is that really why they sacked him or is it a convenient narrative for you?
  19. Lord of De Pies doesn't seem to think so! What a cretin!
  20. Might be better if they don't? So long as performances carry on as they are.
  21. Almost like they don't want to go up. If it happens of course but the big thing we have going for us at the moment is team spirit.
  22. Another point of view is that a temporary appointment to the end of the season would suit us better. Suppose we get promoted?
  23. I'd go for Warnock on a 6 month contract with big bonus for achieving promotion. The situation is made for him.
