If he's contracted of course you can. You could certainly get more than £2M for a Premier League player in those circumstances. Point is it was only Luton who wanted him so they were never going to pay big money anyway. But we took it because we were so bloody desperate. He's their best player FFS. All tracks lead back to the useless owners in the end.

We never should have sold Kaminski. Best keeper since Brad. I said at the time it would come back to bite us. How many points has that decision cost already?

Markandy, on the other hand has been totally consistent.

I've seen nothing to suggest Markandy is a Championship player. Given his limited appearances it appears JDT thinks the same.

I must say Shearer's criticism of "fatigue" in modern players raised my eyebrows. In his day with only 2 subs, players paced themselves because they were down to play for 90 minutes. Subs were not so much a tactical move then but more to cover injury. Now players go all out knowing that the manager can change half the side. Moreover he's not likely to replace his keeper and his centre-backs for tiredness, its the mid-field and strikers who most likely tire. And we don't have that option for reasons we all know. That puts us at a disadvantage compared with other sides and, imo accounts for the fact that we concede so many late goals. Often after missing enough chances to go clear because we didn't sign a striker worthy of the name.

Mike England was so much better than say Harry MacGuire and he went to United for £80M and that was 4 years ago so probably more than £75M? Agree with the other 2.

And 3 full internationals as well! What would they be worth at their peak now?

You mean sometimes we get away with it when we should have been in no danger at all.

Its been a feature since JDT arrived. Remember the Burnley game? Its not going to change, he just expects us to get better at it. Its costing us goals and points. We score some real gems and then concede in the most stupid ways possible. Nothing wrong with having a system but it has to be able to be varied according to the circumstances ie when in trouble, don't short pass to someone in even more trouble, if you have to leather it, leather it.
