Yep, Spurs had a disastrous season and it wasn't saved by a victory in a minor European tournament where their opponents were as bad as they are.

Its humiliating and soul-destroying to know that, whatever the promises or the links, in the last hour and minutes of the Transfer Window we'll be scrambling around trying to sign someone, anyone to get the numbers up.

Other factors---the stadiums and facilities for fans were terrible and hooliganism flourished. People expected better.

We may well get them in in terms of numbers but I don't expect them to be superio or even equalr in quality. If we sell Travis do you really think we'll sign someone for that position who's as good? We're on a downward projection.

Venkys will never get their alleged £20M a year back. That's money thrown away by incompetence and no new owner will pay that to take over a basket case of a club. The incentive for Venkys is they will get something back,( its a decent stadium after all, with an excellent training ground) and not have to spend any more time or money on a failed project.

Exactly so, I'd say he was popular. There are fans who disparage him but rarely during a game. More on discussion groups like this one---you know who you are!!

The problem would be, if that's the best team we can put out, what happens when we get the inevitable injuries and suspensions? Disaster I'd say.

I assume it will be a better club too---on the grounds that there are very few worse clubs right now. We are toxic.

I hope those clubs are as interested in Tijon as we are in various players we are linked with.

He had a good season for us and we finished 7th. I think many Championship Clubs would be interested, especially with no transfer fee. He's going to strengthen one of our rivals isn't he?
