  1. I've amended my post above to make my point clearer!
  2. Well you're the one rated Garret ahead of Travis in a list of midfielders. 4th or 5th you said implying he's keeping Travis out and we don't need him anymore. I know Tronstadt is first choice in that position but isn't Travis 2nd in that position? Don't bother mentioning JRC for a while! I'm arguing we do need him. And if BRFC only makes good decisions why are we in the shit?
  3. Well, we are talking defensive mid-fielders here so bringing Wharton into it seems odd. Garret is young, learning and promising, he should not be a first choice. JRC is prone to long periods out and always has been. Buckley is not the player we hoped he would be so its risky to rely on him and is not what I'd call a defensive mid-fielder anyway. In terms of defensive midfielders we don't have a host of them as you seem to be implying. In fact we are stretched and I would not be selling Travis whose commitment is always 100%.
  4. And if Garret is injured who will replace him? We are not building any depth in our squad. Playing a load of inexperienced young players is not working. We need layers so we can gradually bring these excellent kids on. We shouldn't be relying on them.
  5. The main problem is that our owners have not departed or gone.
  6. Chalk and cheese the difference between this board and those posting to the LT. Overwhelmingly they blame JDT and many of them want him sacked! Hardly any reference to the owners at all. We might as well give up now if they are typical fans.
  7. Yea OK! Player trading as we do it is a quick way back to Div 1. We've only one bloke who can score goals so let's sell him!
  8. A necessary ingredient of a "discussion" with Chaddy! Pull out before you pass out!
  9. Who should we be developing them for though? Spurs? West From? Birmingham? Or Rovers? I was pleased that we were offering players new contracts to ensure they didn't leave for nothing, but I assumed it was because we wanted to keep them. Now its looking like why we did it to get the money to keep the club afloat. What's the point of rich owners?
  10. Certainly a sensible club would do that if it was keen on selling. Us?
  11. Raptors are circling, enticed by the corpse which used to be Blackburn Rovers.
  12. Yes! Because we're so good at that and the owners can always be relied on to use the sale money on new players. If you think we can sell Sami and end up better off then you haven't been watching. Unbelievable frankly that anyone can lap up this stuff.
  13. Absolutely bleeds blue and white as well. Not happy about this.(and much else).
  14. Hurst is doing well at Ipswich but was beyond awful here. Same with Branthwaite. Something wrong here.
  15. Brighton's story always cuts deep with me. One of my best mates was a Brighton supporter and we used to walk our dogs together and talk football non-stop. At the time (he's dead now) we were in the Premier League and Brighton were in Div 3! He talked excitedly about all the plans Brighton had---new ground, Div2 by such a date, Premier league by such a date and so on. I used to go along with it, thinking "he's dreaming" but it all came true! And to top it off, we are the ones now looking at the third tier! We are finished if Venkys stay. Everything they touch turns to shit.
  16. If Venkys walked away and simply gave the Club to new owners (hopefully local) they would save millions every year. Its a no brainer. No chance of ever getting their losses back. Why hang on to it making cuts on cuts that take us father away from recovery than ever but still making huge losses? I wrote years ago that the only protest that would have impact on Venkys is if nobody turned up. It won't happen so we will simply die a slow death. At this moment, I doubt we will exist in 10 years.
  17. Exactly! This has become a mantra now! As far as i know he was perfectly happy here. Never heard any different till the Indian tax fiasco. Its a cover story. We needed cash so he had to go. The rest, I suspect is made up.
