All I ever hear associated with Brereton is "potential." And time may prove he has it. But, based on actual performances, and particularly in front of goal. Nuttall has been the better player, despite any limitations he has. For a start, he can head it and he puts himself about. Defenders know they are in for a battle against him. He competes. Brereton would do well to build up the aggressive part of his game. Its not tippy-toe in the Championship. Nuttall's gone and good luck to him, Brereton needs to step up.
-
Nuttall has shown more than Brereton when he's had the chance----and that's what irks me.
-
Well that's a great shame and I hope you reconsider.
-
He can't make his mind up about what is his best line-up. Wanting masses of "options" with "versatile players" is a reflection of that lack of decisiveness.
-
Bored? More like paranoid.

Moderators aren't allowed to have a view and post it? Really? Wouldn't get moderators if that were the case.

Only fair to point out that he's a converted Centre-back and the defensive part of his game isn't up to it. Respect for what he's done in the past but concern about what is surely his last season with us. TM is just too loyal to some players and should focus purely on ability.
-
Again its about priorities. After he's signed the forwards and mid-fielders he likes---then have a last-minute look at the defence. Wrong way round!
-
My prediction is that Mulgrew will be given every chance to fail.(and will take it!)
-
Pedersen went straight in, I think against Southampton away (but could be wrong) and was so bad you would never have thought he'd play again. So holding him back was exactly what was right for him.
-
Once again, let's not forget the calibre of the teams we played!
-
Well if so, we'll just have to watch them go in from crosses at the other end. Football is full of quick players who can cover ground but produce nothing at the end of it. Bell is an obvious example. I cannot see the point of ruling out any route to goal myself.
-
Ability to cross the ball?
-
I think I remember TM saying that the January wasn't a good time to buy players and that he much preferred to get the business done in the summer?
-
Me too! But I'd hazard a guess Rothwell won't start. Hope I'm wrong.
-
Good news at last!

Are you really trying to claim that there is a connection between the MB and not having a "loud and raucous Ewood Park'? Ridiculous if you are. What you are on about is actually censorship on here. If people have doubts about the way things are being handled at Ewood----this is the place to express them. That is what its for----all things Rovers. I take it you wouldn't prefer people to express their "negativity" at the ground? In reality, people will say what they want to and there's nothing you can do about it, nor should there be. Rather than look for the traitors within, how about we return to talking football?
-
I honestly think he will start with Johnson/Travis. I'll be furious if he doesn't.
-
Its always behind the team. This idea that criticism on this MB translates into negativity at the ground is absolute rubbish. One of the reasons i'm often critical is that I want the team to win so much. I have never booed or heckled a Rovers player in my life (sorely tempted though!)
-
God what a touchy person we are! It was a genuine question. We have more than one weakness as far as i"m concerned. However to think that we play the likes of Barrow, Blackpool and Bury away to improve our away form is as puerile as it gets!
-
Which one?
-
They are his best two buys by a million miles. Hardly typical of his ventures into the transfer market though.
-
I'd do both.
-
Always away, always against inferior opposition (Rangers excepted)-----smacks of saving money to me. Don't want the cost of staging a game at Ewood in front of a small crowd. Hardly adequate preparation for a new Championship season?
-
That's too complacent. A centre-back was the priority. If we could pay £5M for a striker we could have got a defender (or 2) before now. Risking a last-minute panic buy here.
