  1. It appears you only come on here to say all we do is moan. If we had your discernment eh?
  2. I'd believe anything about Venkys but sell for 7M and then spend 5M of it on a lesser player from Bolton?!! We have just completed his new contract talks a week or 2 ago! No, this won't happen.
  3. I really relate to that. Feeling happier and excited about Rovers for the first time in years. But can't help keep looking over my shoulder!
  4. Good.Excellent! Here we go,here we go....
  5. Definitely not what I remember. I must talk to different people!
  6. Well done! Lost my posts in a good cause!
  7. No we wouldn't! I know this because we didn't! There were regrets that we had to force Speedie out after all he'd done but, collectively, we wet ourselves with excitement. We knew who he was alright. You're making this up!
  8. I'm hoping the buzz we got from Brereton signing will carry over to this game. We will have to lose one sometime and this looks a real danger game for us especially if the injured front players aren't back. I would be happy with a draw too.
  9. After all that had gone on for several years, to then appoint Coyle at the last minute spoke volumes about the Raos. They learned nothing from the disaster they caused. I could never trust them after that. I think, and I said this months ago, that they have bought into TM's vision for the club. At last they have seen that their interests and our's coincide. Good on TM, he's done what no-one else managed to do. He's persuaded them what we all knew all along, that the only way they will ever get their lost millions back is if they invest in player stock and get us back in the Premiership. (This is my theory anyway.) At that point I hope they bugger off and never darken our doors again.
  10. Thta's Rob Brydon on the left isn't it?
  11. Well that feels me with confidence!
  12. Yes, was going to post that. Bit harsh if he's left out for a loanee. That's another problem with loanees by the way!
  13. The rule of thumb is 2 players for every position plus about another 4 for good luck. We've got well over that I'd imagine but that's not the same as 2 for every position. Still need centre-back/winger/1 striker if Samuel is out for a long period.Could keep Nuttall I suppose but.... Then we have several players to get rid of. Tick tock.
  14. Once they've sold eh?
  15. The problem now for TM is to keep every player happy. I suppose injuries will take care of some of that. Astonishing really given where we were.
  16. Watched him in the Norwich game last weekend. He didn't do much.
  17. in the wrong direction!
  18. Can I introduce you to Abbey? Please..
  19. Me too. A centre-back as well and it will have been a terrific window (but late!)
  20. Good news is good news even if its in the Daily Mail! Loan with no option to buy, is that what the rag is saying?
  21. So much for all that pre-season high intensity training!
  22. Are we saying that Brereton is the complete kitchen?
  23. But he's no Shearer! And we shouldn't place that burden on him. From descriptions I've read from Forest fans he sounds more like Kalinic. Runs the channels, loads of enthusiasm and energy but not a lot of outcome. That was Kalinic when we had him but he has clearly vastly improved on that. We sold Kalinic before we saw his best, I hope Venkys remember that.
  24. A couple of Forest fans reaction to the transfer: Re: Ben Brere-gone (sponsored by Lard) I'm not as heart broken as others. I didn't want him to go. I think he is talented and has potential. I think he's been majorly overhyped and if we viewed his time so far and the deal in respect of another Champ club, we'd probably think it's a reasonable deal. Everyone loves academy players coming through, it's a lovely romantic ideology. Sadly, it's also the case that a, it mostly happens in times of hardship and b, when they hit anything like good form, They go anyway. I'd say it's a shame he wasn't hear another year and maybe got 10 goals as maybe he'd have been sold to a Prem club for a bit more instead. But I won't be devastated over it. Selling Ollie Burke hurt 10x more. Re: Ben Brere-gone (sponsored by Lard) Originally Posted by Steve Stone's Mullet Everyone loves academy players coming through, it's a lovely romantic ideology. Selling Ollie Burke hurt 10x more. Me neither, I saw potential in him but he never seemed seemed to bring it out on the day, apart from the game against Arsenal. Easily bullied and falls over too much. A great academy protege none the less.
  25. My God, Chaddy has his own interpreters now! Seriously who wants to read this shit?
