I agree its too early to call but the signs are not promising. He'll just have to amaze us all.
-
We did and that's what makes it funny!
-
TBF Chaddy, you've been posting a lot of "laughing reactions" to posts yourself.
-
I've ben asking about the Forum and what it might do about the various ideas that have been suggested on here. I said "there must be some posters on here who are members of the Forum" or words to that effect. And nobody responded and you're the Secretary! So, will you be raising the matter of pricing and the various options people have listed on here at your next meeting with the club. Any chance of you posting their responses?

So you want TM to take both Dack and Graham off and,In another thread, you say you want Brereton to start? Sounds like sabotage to me! -
Sorry, I completely misunderstood. No, I wasn't making any reference to Venkys. I was referring to Waggot saying a few days ago that he "hoped" the deal would go through in January (or words to that effect). Hope that sums me up better!
-
Well, since nobody's mentioned Venkys but you, I think you are safe in assuming the latter.
-
I've always thought that was the case but Waggot's comments a few days ago implied otherwise.
-
If the agreement with Forest isn't written in stone we should walk away. Always assuming, of course, that the money would be available for someone else. Enough already! Its an unnecessary gamble not worth taking.
-
Agree, manager should have played him on the wing!

or his England cap! -
Edited out that last sentence. Shouldn't have written it and I apologise. You're still a bloody pain though!
-
We must be boring by now? So here goes----one last time. You think those 2 sentences in bold actually buttress your argument? I'm talking about cover for our first choice keeper you clot, just as I was talking about cover at centre-back! Of course Raya should start he's absolutely brilliant! Not perfect mind! I don't love playing the victim and I don't self-praise, I merely call it as I see it but I have a good memory and I'm not afraid to use
-
You are a very slippery customer. Those original comments were in the context of assessing how good the transfer window was in an old thread and were aimed at those who eulogised the transfer window as just about perfect. I copped heaps for it, especially from you! I certainly have no recollection at all of you expressing any regrets that we hadn't strengthened the defence as we should have. And country to your assertions I got many replies stating that the defence had ample cover---we've got an international in reserve, Williams can play in the centre etc etc. And how on earth do you come to the conclusion that I don't think Raya should be playing? Absolutely bizarre.
-
That's a very big "albeit"!
-
And neither of those two could possibly compensate if Graham was injured no matter how good Mowbray's management is. He could get the most out of his squad every week and we could still lose because there is currently no-one as good as him in that position or even close.
-
Well thanks for confirming my analysis of the transfer window in which I argued that there were serious gaps we hadn't covered! I specifically referenced centre-back and keeper! I didn't know at the time I needed to include striker as well. I received a heap of criticism for saying it but good to see you on board!
-
Why hasn't he started? That's the whole point! He currently isn't good enough to be picked. So, the conversation is turned to "he's one for the future"! Ambitious Championship clubs don't commit 7M for one player and put him on one side to develop!! They concentrate on what matters--------promotion. Once you achieve that its a different story. If he can't play we are back where we were in summer----looking for another striker or hoping Graham can see it through 60 minutes at least, three times a week! As of NOW we need another striker even though we are committed to paying 7M for one who isn't chosen!! Laughable.
-
Those people were making their assessment of a player, as they are entitled to do. Rather than putting forward evidence justifying your higher opinion of the player you choose to attack them for expressing their opinion. IMO its an odd way for a club like our's to spend so much money. I bet we could have bought Reed, for example, and pocketed the change. He is becoming an integral part of the team NOW. We needed another striker now but we "invested" 7M without getting one.
-
Don't buy this. Too much can go wrong in 2 years.
-
Its noticeable that Dack isn't dominating games like he did in Div 1. No surprises there! So, we can assume he would have a challenge to replicate his performances of this season in the Premiership. Not saying that he couldn't do it, he has natural ability in abundance but I could see some Premiership clubs thinking that more than 20M would be a risk.
-
We are supposed to be assessing Brereton here, not each other.
-
Well, we're sort of in agreement here, those stats really confirm what sort of possession they had and I was making the point that they had no cutting-edge. If we had 68% possession we'd be winning 5-0.

He's injured again though? I am a big fan of Chapman but we can't ignore his history. One for the medical staff this one. EDIT read your post above . Good that's he's recovering. But if he can only play a game or two before breaking down again then we should find an alternative. -

In an earlier post you were regretting that we hadn't signed another centre-back in January.
