I guess their gloom is based on our performances which have been dire for a while now. I agree we're not nailed on for relegation though this season. The future currently looks very bleak however. We are always one set piece away from defeat it seems to me.

Knowing how last season finished and how Mowbray's side finished in his first season with us, I can see us being relegated on GD! Its fate I tell you!

When you look at the players we had when Mowbray was manager how on earth did we never even get into the playoffs? He made some great signings but hadn't the ability to use them. We can only weep now at the talent we've lost (and the woeful replacements). We're heading in only one inevitable direction with tis thread-bare squad.

We keep signing players from the likes of Crewe and we end up like Crewe, Just a matter of time. Southampton playing Hollis-Bells,Armstrong and Rothwell and winning.

When we were good, we were exhilarating. But we couldn't keep it up for 90 mins (neither can I!) and we inevitably ran out of steam with inadequate cover from the bench. Some wonderful moments though and I think he'll do well with a better squad.
