  1. By the way, we had 16000+ which is a good attendance figure for us. But it was still the lowest Championship attendance on the day.
  2. For a big, strong looking bloke Gallagher isn't half injury prone.
  3. Just have to hope and wait. No choice really. Best thing the crowd can do is encourage him by applauding when he does something good and not being harsh when he cocks up. Parenting really! Or dog-owning! He's not what we needed, immediately anyway, but that's not his fault.
  4. Written with gritted teeth!!
  5. You'd know better than me Parson but Byron always seemed to score against West Ham! I was sharing a flat with 2 guys around the mid-sixties who were West Ham fans and they dreaded him being picked!
  6. Used to see him often in the Olde White Bull Saturday nights. Quite happy to talk about the day's game to anyone who asked him. As to his other clubs take your pick! Malcolm Darling (born 4 July 1947) is a Scottish former professional footballer. He was a winger who played for Blackburn Rovers, Norwich City, Rochdale, Bolton Wanderers, Chesterfield, Stockport County, Sheffield Wednesday, Hartlepool United and Bury
  7. Never understood this in relation to Wilcox. Local lad, came up though the ranks, held his place amongst a horde of big transfer players and capped for England! Yet plenty of his own fans didn't like him!! PS you missed John "Handbag" Connelly off that list!
  8. I agree. They take too long to adjust if indeed they ever do. What about this season, it'll be half over by Christmas. Will he still be finding his feet?
  9. I think they bought a Premier League club on a whim for prestige reasons, were conned as to what was needed to continue at that level. got us relegated, became disillusioned and have just provided the bare minimum needed to keep the club ticking over. For reasons of pride, they prefer to keep the club rather than admit they have been out of their depth and have made a mess of it. I admit that's me surmising but I look forward to reading different explanations if there are any.
  10. Anyone think he'll see his contract out?
  11. Course you will! Brad was the best keeper in the Premier League and he played for us for years. And he was free! Can't beat that in my view.
  12. Yea that's a good call. First time round---£30,000!
  13. Alan Shearer was a world record price at the time (that or close)---Brad was free!!!!
  14. Liverpool weren't picking Brad at the time though which is why he came on a free. (Best signing we ever made in terms of value and will never be eclipsed!)
  15. Well, all Championship clubs are not the same are they? Wasn't the case for Luton was it? Lower crowds than we have. We have rich owners, we should be able to be optimistic about the future. But we can't even have a well-maintained stadium.
  16. So we carry on like this do we? Is that all there is?
  17. Yet when their £7M pound UK house purchase was rumbled by the Indian tax authorities----who had to pay for it? Why? In what sense was it the fault of Blackburn Rovers?
  18. Bigger than a goal on Saturday then?
  19. Striker scores a goal and that would be amazing? Really?
  20. The Blackburn End was open for the Walsall game---1st Round and lower-grade opposition. It doesn't make sense.
  21. We got a scare at 4-3 but when the final whistle was near the Blackburn End was literally bouncing with sheer joy!
  22. There to find new ways of saving money? Seems the most likely knowing this lot.
  23. He's pretty restrained there really, I'd have hit the roof in his circumstances. Deliberate destruction of a successful team.
  24. Amen. Cherish the memories.
