Most people want to avoid being in the trenches but that's where Venkys are dragging us. I was going to say "slowly but surely", however the pace seems to be hotting up.

What do the owners do when there's nothing left to sell?

There's a number of players who can't do what JDT wants them to----score for a start! This has nothing to do with playing style, its about freeing up a wage. The fact that it weakens our squad is of no interest to those who hold the reins.

Seems like we are hoping to stagger to the end of the season without being relegated. That is all the ambition the club has.

The team style that has gained 1 win and 1 draw and 6 defeats from the last 8 games? Are we so good that it's appropriate to lend our captain to a rival Championship team (albeit one that was in Div 1 last season?) Given their League position they must see something in him our leaders don't see. First we shunted Buckley out against his will and ballsed up the designated replacement, now we are lending our Captain to a rival to scrounge a bit more money. This has nothing to do with his talent---or whether he fits our style---we are completely broke, can't you see it? This is utterly shameful, how much lower can we sink? "The Family Club" eh? !!!

Agree but If they were they would be replaced by others who owed their jobs to Venkys. Nothing would change. All roads lead to India.

You talk as it we don't need back-up. Tronstad and Wharton won't play every game for one reason or another. Haven't you learned from our current injury crisis? We can't keep dragging kids in short pants out of school and expect to win in the Championship. I have no confidence that this is about anything but money. We want another club to pay his wages so we can buy/borrow someone cheaper.

Well you're the one rated Garret ahead of Travis in a list of midfielders. 4th or 5th you said implying he's keeping Travis out and we don't need him anymore. I know Tronstadt is first choice in that position but isn't Travis 2nd in that position? Don't bother mentioning JRC for a while! I'm arguing we do need him. And if BRFC only makes good decisions why are we in the shit?

Well, we are talking defensive mid-fielders here so bringing Wharton into it seems odd. Garret is young, learning and promising, he should not be a first choice. JRC is prone to long periods out and always has been. Buckley is not the player we hoped he would be so its risky to rely on him and is not what I'd call a defensive mid-fielder anyway. In terms of defensive midfielders we don't have a host of them as you seem to be implying. In fact we are stretched and I would not be selling Travis whose commitment is always 100%.

And if Garret is injured who will replace him? We are not building any depth in our squad. Playing a load of inexperienced young players is not working. We need layers so we can gradually bring these excellent kids on. We shouldn't be relying on them.

The main problem is that our owners have not departed or gone.

Chalk and cheese the difference between this board and those posting to the LT. Overwhelmingly they blame JDT and many of them want him sacked! Hardly any reference to the owners at all. We might as well give up now if they are typical fans.
