  1. Pears poor on that one. Their first attack---literally.
  2. Its cause and effect! If I predict a win I know we'll lose, so I'm predicting a pathetic loss!
  3. I hink Amari Bell illustrates that very well. How come Luton are virtually a certainty to play in the play-offs with Bell their regular full-back but he's not good enough to play for us---- and we're not?!!
  4. Anyone watch any of the Millwall v Luton game? Absolutely appalling. Not even bog standard Championship game, more like the games you see in local league. And yet these 2 teams are above us!
  5. And at Easter! Remember way back, 25th March 1967, Mike Ferguson sent off in the vital promotion clash with Coventry. One of the beneficiaries of that defeat were----Huddersfield! Broken-hearted that day I was.
  6. At least we've had some highlights this season. In the top 6 for nearly all of it. Beat West Ham, Leicester and Spurs away in the Cups. That pulsating Cup game at Bramall Lane where we should have won. Apart from a promotion from Div i, seems eons ago, what memorable moments can we take from 5 years of Mowbray? Not one Cup run in 5 years in either com and, hardly ever in the top 6. Attendances sliding every year. I'll judge JDT when he's had at least on decent transfer window---at the minimum that means an outstanding mid-fielder as good as O'Brien, someone to replace Brereton and another striker who knows where the net is. If we keep the players we have ( apart from the Chilean) and got those 3 in and JDT fails then, no argument from me, his heads on the block.
  7. And Hiddersfield are in good form, absolutely the worst time to play them.
  8. I certainly don't back his every move. I"ve stated several times that imo Dolan should pay more regularly.I have vigourlessly criticised him for the Burnley game, which seems to me to have had long-term consequences. My post was about refuting the notion that he hasn't made mistakes. But we are where we are and, but for that January transfer window disaster, I think we'd be a lot farther. Andd we can't put the blame on him for that.
  9. Let's not forget we beat Norwich away shall we? Nobody with any sense cold fail to see that we've gone backwards since then, for one reason or another. We've don't always have to go to one extreme or another. JDT can be criticised without that being taken to mean anyone wants him sacked! He was badly let down in the transfer window. With a decent striker and O'Brien we would probably be at least secure in the 6 or better but, that being said, his selections and substitutions have rightly come under criticism. For some reason there have been many games when we just haven't turned up. When we played Burnley, whichever team won went top. The rot started there and we are now 26 points behind them! In this situation, ridiculous to imagine that every part of the club wouldn't come under scrutiny.
  10. 0-0 would be a very good result for us. Still OK if Luton won.
  11. So is it now an accepted fact that Wharton A is bone idle and disinterested at training and this is why he was left out and continues to be? I ask because I have no idea what goes on at training. I'm just a supporter who thought we had a real talent on out hands at one point in the season and now it seems we don't.
  12. Or much worse Jim---2 rejects who prosper somewhere else.
  13. It was going so well for both of them until what? The Burnley game? I support JDT but not uncritically---he made a balls-up of that one.
  14. What's the odds on us getting a second good manager under these owners? Help! (if true).
  15. That could bite them in the bum.
  16. Chelsea have spent £550 million on players this season! How can they not have infringed the rules on over-spending?
  17. What's happening at Stoke? Glad we got that fixture out of the way, although we did get battered! As for Luton, on the few occasions I've watched the on TV Amari Bell has played well! if that's not good coaching and managing---what is it?
  18. A red-head as well! could do with one in mid-field!
  19. I think we look disjointed when Brereton plays these days.
  20. Everton survival in doubt if relegated: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/mar/31/evertons-survival-in-doubt-if-relegated-from-the-premier-league
  21. We're splitting hairs here aren't we?
