Me too! It came flooding back when I saw the photo but I can't say when it was pulled down. Here's some history about it. Ceased services in 1958 but doesn't say when it was pulled down. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/5952885.brief-last-glimpse-victorian-chapel/ -

I did catch on before you posted---honestly! I has forgotten completely about the old "Enclosure" possibly because I never, ever went in it! -
WE created and missed more chances than they did! And we hit the woodwork twice. And they should have been down to 10 men. I do not see how we were lucky at all.

Someone on here recently calculated our points per game at 1.68. That , if maintained would give us another 18 points to take us to 76. But we've improved on that with our recent form so I think 76 points is very attainable and better than that wouldn't be surprising. That 76 surely would see us finish top 6. However I'm aware of our ability to not put away "easy" games so I'm confident but wary at the same time! -

I'd be astonished if we didn't make 70 points from here. -

They have improved recently and are now contenders for a place in the 6? -
Aided by the fact that fewer turn up because its on Sky!

Scoring remains our achilles heel. Our GD is 1! You have to go down to 12th to find a team with a worse one.(Preston) 1 place above us are Boro with a GD of 21!

Its hard to work out What BBD's place is. He's not a central striker and he's not a winger. If we continue to play Dolan on one wing, and I hope we do, and Thomas on the other, there's just no place for Brereton at present. And I think he'll be sub while Gally is fit to play Gally is prospering playing where he should always have been. I've lost emotional issue with Brereton going, I'm just angry he's going for nothing (again!).
-
Well context is everything. If we lose Travis to injury say and miss out on the play-offs by 1 point then it is a very big deal indeed. Potentially we miss out on £165M which I believe is the financial value of promotion to the Premier League.

Yeah! Sorry.
-
How about trying via a VPN and choosing a northern base?
-
TBF Brereton gives his all every game and always has. Not very productive in recent times of course but we were saying much the same about Gally not that long ago!
-
But don't let his contract run down Rovers!

v Leicester City (a) - 28/02/23 (FA Cup 5th Round)

I don't remember any discussion on this but there were a lot of posts and I was skimming, but----how on earth did Mendy escape a red card? Ref saw it but gave a yellow! Utterly incredible. Mandy kicked out at Travis when the ball wasn't in play and the two were walking side by side. One of the worst decisions I've ever seen. -

The money our Club chucks away.....the "Brentford" model in reverse. -
We miss a lot of sitters. Armstrong wouldn't. However I don't feel strongly about it and going back usually doesn't work.

Nice one!! -
You may be right but I can't see another Premier League club going for him so I'm sure his wages will take a hit somewhere along the line.

The most heartening feature of the game was the composed defence playing slick, first-touch passes out of defence without causing the chaos Leicester did when they tried it (repeatedly!). Somehow over the last few weeks we seem to have come a long way. Commentators thought we looked Premier League already! -
Priorities for the summer
47er replied to wilsdenrover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The topic is priorities for the summer and, so far as as I'm concerned they haven't changed---a central striker (or 2 if BDD goes) and a central mid-fielder the likes of O'Brien. I wouldn't mind keeping Thomas on the basis of what we've seen so far. Anything else is a bonus. I don't want us failing to get our key targets and then signing players for other positions as a sop for the fans. Given that the Wharton's, Carter, JRC and all the rest will be one year older with valuable experience, I think we would have a very good season. PS I'm assuming we're in the Championship next year but if we're not, its a totally different situation. How the Club would handle that is the stuff of nightmares! -
We got a fair fee for Jones but N"Zonzi???? What a cock-up.

My favourite Newton trick was when he used to take the ball with a sliding tackle, then stood up and carried on going forward with the ball he'd just won. Meanwhile the forlorn attacker was still on the deck! He did this over and over again. Lesser full-backs gave away a throw-in, he somehow kept the ball close to him. -
I think we should put in a cheeky bid for him at the end of the season. He'll want to revive his career and Southampton will surely want to get rid. I think JDT could get the best out of him as in "playing for the team".
