  1. So is it now an accepted fact that Wharton A is bone idle and disinterested at training and this is why he was left out and continues to be? I ask because I have no idea what goes on at training. I'm just a supporter who thought we had a real talent on out hands at one point in the season and now it seems we don't.
  2. Or much worse Jim---2 rejects who prosper somewhere else.
  3. It was going so well for both of them until what? The Burnley game? I support JDT but not uncritically---he made a balls-up of that one.
  4. What's the odds on us getting a second good manager under these owners? Help! (if true).
  5. That could bite them in the bum.
  6. Chelsea have spent £550 million on players this season! How can they not have infringed the rules on over-spending?
  7. What's happening at Stoke? Glad we got that fixture out of the way, although we did get battered! As for Luton, on the few occasions I've watched the on TV Amari Bell has played well! if that's not good coaching and managing---what is it?
  8. A red-head as well! could do with one in mid-field!
  9. I think we look disjointed when Brereton plays these days.
  10. Everton survival in doubt if relegated: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/mar/31/evertons-survival-in-doubt-if-relegated-from-the-premier-league
  11. We're splitting hairs here aren't we?
  12. I can't think of any and I don't know why you would think I could. I was merely repeating what has been widely speculated in the media. Maybe he is holding off to see if we get promoted and will stay if we do. Credit to him if so. JDT doesn't seem to be seeing it that way though--resigned to losing him for free from what I read.
  13. Widely rumoured that he has already signed. Why are you certain he hasn't?
  14. He could have signed up for a year with a large pay increase as insurance, agreed a minimum fee which would trigger his release and take it from there. But Its all about him. Include in that a trip to play for Chile in a meaningless friendly when he could have rested up after his efforts at Bramall Lane. To add further insult he's got injured in said game when we are desperate to keep our Promotion push on track.
  15. I would argue that for what he has gained from his time at Rovers he's giving very little back. No plaudits from me.
  16. I do agree that Kaminski has made some "worldie" saves that Pears wouldn't have made. But that doesn't tip the balance for me. 2 top keepers----onwards and upwards!
  17. That really is incredible, I would never have picked it.
  18. Its a good problem to have. But in his most recent games Kaminski was going down like a sack of coal for ground shots and costing us goals. Could be that he was carrying an injury. However I still think its Pear's spot to lose. He's done nothing wrong.
  19. Good point. Trouble is we usually lose!
  20. We have to factor in the failure to produce a worthwhile product over the last 10/12 years. The performances on and off the pitch have driven people away. Those who stayed mostly did so out of loyalty, to memory of better days before. Whatever the cost of a season ticket, there has to be a solid reason to turn up. Remember we've had no FA Cup success for a long time till now. That often used to to spice up our season. At last there is something to go for, that will appeal to people who don't usually attend. We're on the up. I would be very surprised if we didn't sell more tickets for next season and arrest what's been a continuous decline.
  21. But the Club does seem to have moved in the right direction for once and at last? Somehow, what fans have been thinking for years has suddenly permeated the admin at Ewood. I'm not getting carried away, just feeling cautiously optimistic that this is a long-awaited attempt to rebuild the relationship with the fans. After so many years some positivity around the Club is returning.
  22. The 4th Round Burnley Cup tie 1958-59 that was abandoned at half-time and rescheduled 3 days later? 1 match but 2 bumper crowds at Ewood within hours of each other! That reached 50000 didn't it?
  23. Not very amicably either at times. One such instance was a game against Liverpool very early sixties. Any delusions I had about loveable Scousers disappeared that day!
