  1. No---this club will never fold.
  2. Yeah--I suppose that's true. Puts the club at risk when they get caught though.
  3. So you approve of this club being owned by tax-dodging spivs?
  4. No change there then! You're right---worst of both worlds. They stick around but don't fund us.
  5. Its the same as finding a new manager. "Who would want to be a manager at this club?" was the mantra when Mowbray was here and failing. And we've got a better one. We wouldn't know of any buyers until the club was up for sale. Who'd have forecast that 2 Americans who have made their money in Hollywood would roll up at Wrexham? Who'd have thought that an American sports star would allign himself with Wolves? (Correction---Birmingham, thanks Jim) Whether any of us know of a would-be new owner isn't all that relevant.
  6. Well they'd save themselves £20M a year!
  7. I'm pretty incisive when I feel like it Roger!
  8. Given the lack of depth, experience and numbers plus our inability to convert chances I can't see us making a strong run-in to the end of the season! Very pessimistic and hopefully wrong!
  9. So much for Twitter then. Hardly the venue for accurate discernment.
  10. Hard to tell if your are being sarcastic or not!! Either way the man actually doing a good job is Tomasson. He may well serve out his 3 year (?) contract but he has clearly been sold a pup---as in "the project has changed" and hasn't been given the support he needed and deserved. I can't see us making 2 good appointments in a row so I think we'll soon be in real strife and promotion looks as far away as ever. Avoiding relegation will more likely be the aim at that point. If JDT gets this squad up it would be an absolute miracle. Definitely weaker than last season, no project at all. A real slap in the face of supporters with optimism raised last season.
  11. It may be that Waggot and Co simply have a set of financial instructions to work to so the owners don't have to meddle at all. Blissfully absent.
  12. The problem is these days happen to us all too often. Last season I lost count of the number of chances we created and failed to convert. The recent transfer Window was surpposed to put that right
  13. Down to Earth with a bump.
  14. Can't rate the transfer window until we've seen the outcomes. in truth the success of this Window depends on the vital position we've neglected too long--central striker. Ennis out injured and injury prone, new striker an unknown quantity.
  15. That manager should be apologising to Harrogate fans for his decision to make 9 changes because they "have an important game on Saturday." Biggest team they've ever played and he puts out a League 2 reserve team! He blew it. They were pitifully bad, we practically walked through their defence. Delighted for the young lads but really, have we ever played a worse side?
  16. We haven't got the hang of this bit of the process yet!
  17. It is very obvious that the youngsters have taken to JDT's coaching like a duck to water. Their style is exactly what he wants and they fit in when they play like they've been there for months. He's the best we've had since we were in the Premier League and if he walks away because the owners haven't supported him with transfers, I think the club will be in serious trouble. JDT and Mowbray are like chalk and cheese yet they allowed us to stagnate under Mowbray for 5 years!
  18. Scott Wharton to start? Hyam can't play every game surely?
  19. There's mud on his legs! You don't see that anymore.
  20. 70's were an ugly decade in more ways than one!
  21. He hasn't the skill to be a top striker but he's whole-hearted and always works his socks off. He's the best man to play central striker we have, the only one with any sort of physicality, and we should stop experimenting till or unless we sigh someone better.
  22. He does have a habit of giving the ball away in dangerous positions. Obviously did v Hull and did it again yesterday. Looked up and passed it right into trouble. Clearly doesn't let it affect him but it affects me!
  23. Wharton got spontaneous applause from Watford fans for one piece of back-heel magic. He is special.
