  1. That's true but its would be no good for us now which is my immediate concern. Could be the difference between promotion and not. It won't appease me if what we've done benefits a rival in the next window! Selfish I know but I'm a Rovers supporter rather than a football supporter.
  2. Dragging on somewhat isn't it? A full month since the Window ended and still we don't know. Its going to be a useless victory even if we got one. Farcical.
  3. Loved it, loved, loved it! So proud and emotional. What a performance. Can we now say Dolan has an end product?!!!
  4. Penultimate ball was or should have been a wide. That would have meant a tie at least. Plus that match-turning 1st ball run-out of Brooke. You really couldn't make it up! I can't help thinking we got out to some daft strokes when the game was ours for the taking eg Stokes, Foakes. However that was an incredible game and credit to NZ for turning it round.
  5. By going up and down Burnley have secured their future, at least as far ahead as we can see. Getting on the Parachute Paymnets ride is the way to go! Having said that payments will probably be reduced in the future. I'd like to see a scheme where clubs were rewarded for producing their own talent! We'd do well!
  6. Tony convinced him he's a winger!
  7. He's a wonderful diagonal long-ball passer isn't he? edit---bloody predictive text!
  8. Somebody has to be in that position and I can't see much alternative.
  9. You're right there.
  10. In any case Nyambe was worth more than the nothing we got for him and Mowbray did not treat him well.
  11. Move Pickering from full-back to central striker is my suggestion. After all it worked in 1963!
  12. So what will Gallagher bring to proceedings? Even Chaddy thinks he won't score. Its dire up-front.
  13. It was an enormous risk when we took him on, especially when we didn't have cover. We are in a better position now.
  14. If we do we have a very good chance of finishing 6th, we were 8th last season.
  15. At his age, he probably needs resting from time to time, but I absolutely agree he should have had much more time on the pitch.
  16. First match with a new manager. Bad luck that. Bound to be a factor and Ainsworth is a motivator. QPR on a dreadful run--we've always been kind to clubs in these circumstances. Suspect we will lose it.
  17. I've rarely read a post I disagreed with more. I disagree with every point you make. Where would we be in the table now if he hadn't played? Who would have replaced him?
