  1. Be gone.....to be replaced by worse. But that is the ship we sail in under these cretins.
  2. He'll be great for the first 5 or 6 games next season then it'll catch up again but Wharton is out and we need experience. He'll have to be rotated and rested we can't build the defence around him but... Keep him.
  3. Whenever you look at the site and the 'most read' 90% of the time it's Rovers related so naturally they are a propaganda tool for the club. To be fair they do usually tell it like it is in the most polite terms but the days of putting meat on any bones are long gone.
  4. Sammie, what a player. Better in all depts than Dack and BBD especially attitude, a real gem. Deserves big things if they come next.
  5. Not sure it's the owners they don't give a toss either way but inside the club some seem quite happy to put the gun to the head in terms of relegation. That's very odd as was the refusal to back two different managers in consecutive seasons with the team in the top spots at the Jan window. We aren't talking millions to try and get up OR stave off being a bottom 3 club but a bit of help was desperately needed and no one there was interested in really pushing it. A real board of directors should be going all out as far as they can on both scenarios and demanding the owners do something. Here we have NO real board just a couple of gravy train yes men and i think that is the issue rather than skullduggery, they don't care either way and keep their cushy numbers whatever happens.
  6. That should be on Waggots ST brochure 'Ewood's the road to nowhere, come on inside'
  7. If i was a boxer that'd be my walk out tune, would get right up the hooters of the wokey mob as well so even better. However not sure it's suited to the more docile Ewood environment and the players have likely never heard of it.
  8. Said it two years ago that Bolton like Ipswich, Coventry etc are yet another similar sized club who've been to hell and will come back to pass our water treading shrunken outfit in the near future. Then we'll be told we just cannot compete with these bigger town/city fanbase clubs in order to cover up the Venky/Waggot/Pasha managed decline. How many of those are owned by billionaires ? How many got thousands of fans more when they were shit ?
  9. The 'cash' transfer budget will be 500k or maybe two 500k's Then money into a full loan compliment and a freebie or two, that is the current model. Speaking of loanees i actually feel we haven't made the best of the ones we've had this season. Too much emphasis on Moran as with Morton last season yet one or two who've been more involved lately have looked better. And if you sign a guy like Hill you simply have to have him for a season or it's pretty pointless.
  10. He wasn't sold for millions but for a couple of hundred grand Craig Conway has to be one of the best bargain bits of business this club has done under Vs.
  11. Barnsley in the most vital game of their season with modest crowds, low income and and away end that holds c6k give Bolton Two thousand. Waggot you tosser.
  12. This is why certain players/ex players etc keep saying expectation levels are too high amongst the fans. They miss the point though that fans have issues with the ownership, those running it (into the ground) and all associated problems. When you start a season after finishing 8th/7th you are entitled to expect at least midway even allowing for a budget cut. Not at BRFC though.
  13. Correction - they chopped their own legs off by being found to warrant an investigation.
  14. Mowbray was allowed 4 players in that Jan window when one or two decent forwards would have been enough, JDT was allowed what ? Sorba Thomas ? TM fecked that window up badly and lets not bring Rothwell into it that was pie in the sky the facts are the 4 he brought in where all wrong. One of them was a good player in his true position but within a few months here he'd played several different roles instead of his own and was benched for being so poor. The season after he went back to being a specialist in his real position.
  15. Main thing with TM is not only did he have a mid table budget he was also never ever forced to sell a player which is unheard of here under this ownership. JDT here 5 mins and loses several good players. TM wasn't a flop he just did what it said on the tin but he wasn't good either.
  16. Sadly he isn't here to achieve anything other than staying in this league and if we stay up it'll be the same aim next season. If we go down he must be moved on no ifs buts maybes and so should the people who brought him in.
  17. Similar to Mowbrays later time and a large reason why he had sudden success at Sunderland with the same midtable Mogga style, he had bright young lads to throw on up top. We've done well bringing one guy through to replace another in the goal scoring ranks up to now but it has been literally that, 1 at a time. All of them cost money, the forward line now needs major investment/critical recruitment it is an absolute urgent priority. Even if they find another Sammie or invest in a BBD who carries the can whilst they find their feet ?
  18. Been asked various times down the years on the walk to the ground and to be fair iv'e done it myself a time or two at away games. That time at Ewood though was really suss, not sure we were on line but ticketing agencies existed and i suppose it was bulk buying on the phone. It was the era of the super touts after all but it just amazes me the club didn't notice !
  19. Not sure how else whole blocks of like hundreds together in the outer wings of the riverside and JW upper/lower fell entirely into the hands of City fans. Odd ones dotted all over the place had obviously got their hands on tickets from locals selling them but those areas no chance, they'd been empty all season. It was dodgy beyond just a few fans grabbing a bit of money back.
  20. There was non where we were for the majority of the game then when home fans began leaving in their droves city fans were piling in from outside in their droves. They piled on the pitch from all corners at the end because they'd be arriving whilst the game was on and waiting for the gates to open. Either way it was a mess.
  21. A few did but also the club did via ticketmaster etc then pretended they didn't know why whole sections of seats in the corner of the JW and Riverside that had been empty all season were suddenly full. Fans took all the blame though of course.
  22. No Persil here they just really really love losing money.
  23. You do realise this is a team that might be relegated on the day ? How do you think visiting fans might react to home fans in their section celebrating ?
  24. They can't seize assets over here so no, it was property in India that was seized. Probably just selling this so they can get that back.
  25. Been saying for ages why don't they sell that and use the money for the club as it's already in the country and it was buying that has caused some present issues in the first place. 5 mill will be handy in league 1 !
