  1. Ah I see, got it. You have to set it to a Stand. No idea how it got set to boycotting. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for the heads up on the Profile. Absolutely no idea how to change it. Dinosaur I'm afraid. Can someone please educate me.
  3. In other words then your stance is to cut your nose off to spite your face. A dead club is a dead club. Show me any finance or economics book that says a business can survive a lack of cash flow. If we stop buying tickets then it will be us who are the mechanism of our own demise. As I said before, no one is going to chase me out of my own club, it means too much to me.
  4. Genuinely don't know anything about that 'thingy'. I've never boycotted. First match I went to was in 1960, never deliberately missed a home game since. Doesn't make me a better fan than anyone else but it gives me a perspective. No bad owners, crap managers or anything else within the club is going to drive me away, it's my club, it's your club. One day they will be gone, God willing I'll still be here. If the club has been driven out of existence through lack of support (no matter how noble and righteous the excuse/rationale) then that's our fault no one else's. My post was a plea for that not to happen. Mock away, you're not going to change my opinion.
  5. If we make a list of what has gone wrong at the club it will be a very long list. We all know the list items, average players, too few players, no transfer policy, bad owners, bad management, useless execs etc., etc.. Ask anyone to disagree with that list and you won't find a single poster on here I wager. So it's not about half full or half empty glasses or good fans, bad fans, super fans or any other muck we want to throw around at each other. There comes a time though with constant complaining when we start to breathe our own fumes. We are where we are, we have no levers to pull to effect any sort of change so it's pointless (IMO) to keep banging on about stuff on that list. Nobody likes it, we all understand it, nobody voted for it but now we have ask ourselves are we still supporters of the club or are we not. If yes then I say do what we've always done, buy a season ticket and moan over a pint at the bar at half time and full time. If we say 'sod that' and walk away then it's a numbers game. If enough say that then the cub will die. Like it or not, through our actions we will have been the ones who pulled the trigger and pumped bullets into the semi conscious wounded old dog which was once a passion for our fathers, grand fathers and way back. The club only survives one way, we all buy tickets. Without this your club is dead, it's inevitable. We have to continue CPR no matter how useless it may seem until someone else calls it. That won't be me. As long as there's a Blackburn Rovers there'll be a me buying tickets. We all want the same things but negativity and withdrawal of funds will not improve anything. We're either fans or we're not. Buy a season ticket or soon there'll be nothing left to bitch and moan at. Just saying.
  6. Loving the name B. B. Diaz. Must be a song we can use to fit that into.
  7. I think the problem with Mowbray's dressing room is that it's full of 'nice' people. Competitive sport needs spikey personalities, an edge, a bit of ruthlessness and once in a while outright badness. We need grit in the oyster, he's assembled a team of boy scouts. We're going to win nothing if he continues to buy guys who are in touch with their feelings. That in a nutshell is why TM will never build a team capable of promotion. We need a couple of evil sods like a Batty or a Keeley. Not going to happen though is it. Flat caps, rattles and "play up you blues" is a Roy of the Rovers fantasy of a bygone era, the sport of today is a totally different beast and Mowbray is lost in the past. What holds good for players holds good for managers. Think of spikey managers like Hughes or Warnock, think Ferguson or Souness and compare to TM, who's going to win something and who's not.
  8. This bit leapt out at me. "Beane turned the Oakland Athletics from no-hopers to play-off contenders by identifying quality players that were missed by other clubs or deployed in the wrong positions." Remind you of anyone?
  9. The facts are unarguable. We have lost a lot of matches. FACT Someone has to be at fault. FACT Whose fault is it? If it's the players, who bought them? If it's the coaching staff, who hired them? Players in wrong positions, who put them there? Playing a passing game with players who can't pass or cross, who made that choice? I could go on but what's the point. The buck has to stop somewhere and the 'where' is obvious. To finish the season the way we have and for him not to take total and full responsibility is incomprehensible. TM you're at fault here. It cannot be argued otherwise. If TM is here next season then nothing changes and that's desperate, what a prospect, haven't the fans suffered enough over the last decade? I'm a fanatic, I can't be otherwise. I'll be there next season. I'll support the club until there's no breath left in my body. But what a depressing prospect. This isn't what I signed up for when my dad took me to see Dougie and Clayton. Curse you dad for getting me hooked, curse you TM for what you're turning the club into, lower table cannon fodder.
  10. Rubbish finishing across the team. Pathetic.
  11. Rotherham defenders holding hands against our free kick to form a chain --- is that legal??
  12. I voted "Yes - no matter what" because if you don't turn up you don't deserve to have a say. I like to have my say on here and elsewhere. Mowbray, Waggott and the Venky's out. I'll be there shouting it out and letting them know my feelings. I can't do that sitting at home and moaning from a distance. That's just the way I see things. I love the Rovers, end of. I'll always be there.
  13. It's just too slow. We hold the ball until we're closed down then pass it backwards! WTF Mowbray.
  14. Does no one every turn with ball? All this passing the way you're facing is doing my head in.
  15. Possession based football with our players, it's like asking elephants to tap dance. Wrong strategy, you'd think he'd learn. Almost as if he's doing it on purpose.
  16. Well when you look at what we put on the pitch each week it should be in good condition.
  17. Well who'd have thought it, a number 9 scoring a number 9 style goal. Would all be so perfect if only he was playing at number 9.
  18. It's the same as I said in the last match, Where's the mid field? That's supposed to be the engine room!! Looks like hamster's got a rupture and the wheel's got stuck.
  19. So xG is a measure of failure? The higher the score the worse you did? Cool. No hiding place then. We're shit and we know how to measure it to prove it.
  20. oops, just posted this on the Summer Transfer Window thread by mistake --- Just seen the horrible news of next wave Covid hitting India today. Horrific nunbers of infections. Patients laying on floors dying. Worst hit area is Pune. Doubt Venkys will have time to consider anything right now let alone Mowbrays replacement. I think we're stuck with him until next season.

  22. Considering our books are chocked full of midfielders we don't have a midfield. Forwards and backs, thats all I can see. WTF?
  23. Oldest form of madness in the world, keep doing the same things and expecting a different result. Mowbray et al have to go, nothing will change if he stays. Player contracts signed or not signed, irrelevant. New players in, irrelevant. Players leaving, irrelevant. Nothing will change just more speak about 'projects' and 'journeys', 'building a team', 'refreshing the infrastructure' etc etc etc, all bollocks. Nothing will change as long as Mowbray stays, guaranteed. Constant lower half of the table with promises of better to come, no thanks. WE NEED A CHANGE AND WE NEED IT NOW! New blood top to bottom, give the new guy total control over transfer policy, give the new guy these last few games of the season to get an understanding of where we're at, give the new guy a whole preseason AND A BUDGET, then I'll feel good again about being a Rovers supporter. If this doesn't happen then what's the point. Answer --- NONE!
  24. But then it all starts over again and there'll be no change so we'll be back in purgatory.
  25. I'm old fashioned. Biased towards big guy, short guy up top. Think Toshack/Keegan, Tore Andre Flo/Zola. We have an Armstrong, we have a Dolan. We have a Gallagher and we have a Brereton. Obviously not in the same quality league but surely TM should be trying out that formation. Am I missing something or is TM a moron?
