  1. Fully understand your viewpoint. But I don't believe it was a difficult decision to refund ST holders. We were one of only 3 professionals football clubs in England who chose not to refund. So, we 3 were right and the other 100+ were wrong? I'm not allowed streaming services on my company laptop, and probably wouldn't bother with iplayer even if I was, due to my internet speed being SOOOOOO slow. The point is that Waggott's constant "take it or leave it" attitude has eventually worn me down. I know several other long-term fans who are doing the same as me. Very sad.
  2. How do I watch this, or any Rovers game, without giving Waggott any money? He stole my ST money last season and, after over 40 years with a ST, I will never forgive or forget.
  3. Cant believe nobody mentioned Salgado. He could probably still get a game today.
  4. Happened to me also last season , but I wasn't told about the alternative option. I had to borrow cash from a family member. That issue, the flat refusal to refund pro-rata costs for BCD games, and this season's pricing policy must be preying heavily on Mr Waggott's mind. Therefore, I've decided to help him with what must be an incredibly increasing burden of guilt, by not renewing. My first season ticket was with my first pay packet as a 16 year old in 1976. All these years later Swaggott has finally managed to achieve what my missus has failed to do in 40 years - driven me away!!!! Radio Lancs commentary from now on.
  5. Pricing comparisons with Liverpool, Bolton etc are completely irrelevant. I'm RTID. I wouldn't go to any other football club if they paid me. Waggot is slowly killing MY club.
  6. Correct. I didn't get what I paid for. I wanted my money back. I still want my money back. Waggott's stated he's not going to give refunds. One of only 3 clubs in the EFL to hold this stance. Therefore, for the first time in 44 years my ST money will remain in my pocket.
  7. Just turned 60. I was in the BBE that night as usual - didn't gravitate to the RS til my early twenties. Saw nothing at all. I remember that Birdy. I used to stand a few rails and steps away from him. In those days us kids could afford entry with our paper round money. They need parents to pay for them these days.
  8. Mid-70's there was a World In Action tv documentary about Millwall fans/hooligans. Harry the Dog was supposedly their leader. This aired on the Monday before we played them at Ewood on the Wednesday. I would be 13ish at the time and had an aunt living in Nuttall Street. The police advised all residents and shopkeepers to board up their windows for the match. I lived in Mill Hill and the few Millwall fans who came by train were marched from there, past my house, outnumber 50 to1 by police. I walked behind them to the match. I cant remember the result but do remember that there was a much smaller crowd than would normally be for a night game - back in those days Rovers fans lived and worked locally, therefore the working day wasn't as long so mid-week games tended to have improved gates - people were obviously put off attending by the documentary. In any event, nothing at all happened. All-in-all very boring for a scruffy kid.....
  9. Hi all fellow technophobes. Finally managed to get through to the ticket office. Spoke with an extremely helpful young lady - Mel. Turns out that the red message stating "Invalid Code" actualy means that I've entered the code correctly and the system is ready to work for me. I've gone to the main club website, clicked on "Watch Live Games on iFollow", then clicked on "Match Highlights" and everything works just fine. Is it just me, but when I receive a red message stating "Invalid Code" I just assume that it means the code is invalid - not that it actually means "code accepted and we're ready to rumble......." Communication!!!!!! ?
  10. Google chrome. Is the ticket office open today? Am ringing but cant get a response.
  11. Thanks for trying to help. I've tried doing this and still get the red invalid code message.
  12. Where am I going wrong? I have a My Rovers account -set up last month to purchase items from the club shop on-line. Received and entered the code. Red message then says that the code is not valid. Rung the ticket office several times without getting through. Have sent an email but no reply as yet. Anybody had similar??
  13. Has anybody actually written to the club requesting/demanding a pro-rata ST refund? If so, what was the written response?
  14. You are not alone in thinking this way. At least you've received an email from the club. I haven't. Despite having a ST for over 40 years. So, as I understand it, as a ST holder I have already paid roughly £14 per game for these last 4 matches being shown on iFollow. But non-ST holders are only being charged £10 per game. Would it not make sense for me to demand a refund for these last 4 games, and then pay only £10 for each game individually? What am I not understanding here?
  15. What about season ticket holders, or any fans, who do not have Sky?
  16. I was there as a callow 19 year old. Police took us off coaches on the other side of Stanley Park and refused to escort us through. It was a blood bath. Scallys waiting in the park with Stanley knives. Awful. But "aren't those Scousers full of fun".....according to to Scouse loving media. Looks like we need to put pur faith in Leicester this year!!
  17. My son unexpectedly got a day off work on Saturday. Having held a season ticket for 20+ years before having to move away for work, he was keen to drive up here for the game - until he and his missus saw the ticket prices!!! He stayed home and watched on the internet via a foreign TV channel. Thanks v much Mr Waggott - BLOODY IDIOT.
  18. Is it available to those of us with basic Sky but not Sports? Internet too slow to stream, so that's not an option.
  19. Turn the volume up??? You havin a laff?? Many of us stay on the concourse until KO cos the PA volume is too bloody loud!!!!
  20. I didn't know Zebra had gone bust. If so, perhaps that may be good news. People like me may be able to return. They turned me down for this season, despite having a ST for over 40 years. I also know four other people who they turned down. That's eight people (2 tickets each) who may be able to return next season, there must be more like us - depending on how the club decides to sell STs. Fingers crossed........
  21. Not paying £40. Don't have Sky. Pubs can't show Red Button games any more. Anybody know any reliable streaming sites for today?
