  1. This should be a day when the fans are positive despite the bad injury news. We need to support Pears and every other player on the pitch for the Rovers. Don’t get embroiled in booing the opposition manager and players, it’s usually counterproductive.
  2. Are we in for another postponement? It’s teeming down now after rain all day.
  3. Hand made poster at today’s Chicago marathon to encourage a fast effort for my son by his fiancée.
  4. Clean sheet today, Toth’s value rising if he’s now an international first choice keeper.
  5. Forest have an owner who is a complete control freak and interferes relentlessly, ours don’t give a damn, and never show up to watch their team. Something in between is about right.
  6. Ismael et al are blind to the fact that the players are full of mistakes, and the majority aren’t good enough to play at this level, so the default position is to blame others such as the referee, the EFL and the Telegragh etc.
  7. Go into your Apple wallet, open the season ticket pass. Open little circle in top RH corner with 3 dots in it. Touch Notifications and then close automatic updates, then open it. Your e-ticket should update to the Ipswich game.
  8. The window shutting at 7pm doesn’t give much time for manoeuvre, both selling and getting new players in.
  9. Oh for the days when players didn’t have social media to vent their views, emotions, grievances etc etc. Tweets, photos, emojis, so boring and too much self indulgent garbage being spouted. We’re all supposed to feel sorry for rich footballers who feel hard done to because someone has dented their egos. Footballers and managers rarely show loyalty to their clubs, but my goodness do they milk it when they want a move, a bigger pay packet or feel hard done to. Football has become like an episode of Love Island off the field.
  10. I like Travis, a whole hearted player, but would he get a game in the current midfield? Cantwell is a class act, and brilliantly clever at getting free kicks as well as contributing goals and assists.
  11. What a load of gonads. Brittain won’t play because he wants to talk to ‘Boro. Until they meet Rovers’ valuation he has no right to talk to them. I hope Venky’s do the usual and make him see out his contract.
  12. Sorry, you are wrong. I’m a Darwen baker’s son, and grew up in a bakery. A tea cake in this part of Lancashire has currants in it, one without is a plain teacake.
  13. At least Cantwell is being honest in public about the situation, the board, the manager and the player himself are not forthcoming with the truth about the fact that he will be leaving. Just tell us what’s happening and we might have a bit more respect for you all.
  14. I’d say best performance at home all season, some terrific football and goals.
  15. The Law of Averages says that Jim has to see an away win at some point. Hopefully tomorrow.
  16. I totally agree that we need rid of Venkys and their stooges, but I cannot accept such an inept display from players who have given up the ghost like so many did tonight. They are getting paid thousands a week to try their guts out for the club, the fans deserve that at the least.
  17. Totally agree with you on this point, Chaddy.
  18. The bottle will be drunk after 5 minutes
  19. Seems appropriate to have him here seeing that Plymouth at home was the first game he managed us, and it’s 30 yrs ago this year that we won the PL
  20. And that performance is what makes you proud to be a Blackburn Rovers fan.
  21. My feeling is that the approach by Derby is a while in the making. They suss out, via his agent, that Eustace would be very interested, find out the release clause details and how much of wage he wants. Then sack Paul Warne and within minutes the wheels are in motion to set up the appointment of him. Eustace is fed up of commuting, can’t stand Waggot and Suhail, and makes his mind very quickly to move. Next stage is yesterday’s semi cryptic interviews, a quick bye bye to the players this morning and, “how’s your father?”, it’s off to Derby at lunchtime. No matters of principle, just the usual baloney, and off you pop.
  22. It’ll be a good test of the theory that the Raos, Waggot, Suhail etc don’t want promotion on who they appoint as the next manager. If the theory is correct, they’ll appoint a Kean/Coyle type.
