  1. Including the time as a child that he supported Burnley?
  2. You could exchange the word 'daft' with 'honest'.
  3. Laughable whilst the subject of Lucas Neill and committment to BRFC is high on the agenda that many who hate Neill want to see 'Sick note' return to the fold.
  4. Must say you two are odd bedfellows except for the fact that one man carrioes a grudge cos he suffered deep humiliation after attempting to diss Neill Neill at Villa Park years ago ,whilst the other still has never forgiven him for replacing the great John Curtis at rb! (btw just where is Curtis playing his football now?) Anyway if it's your deepest wish not to play him again taking into account our injury crisis and in revs opinion no youngsters worth a damn, then I assume that you will also take on his wages. He is still being paid whatever whether he plays or not so to let him 'rot in the reserves' a la Abbey would be plain dumb. How easy for him to pull a sicky for December? How easy for him to do Bellamy and lie about staying here? How easy for him to simply do a Todd and fall out publically with the manager? All those would ensure that there would be no injury problem to hinder his transfer but he (and it's rare in this day and age) quite prepared to play his contract out and thats that, and fair play to him for that too. As for commitment to the Rovers. I dunno but I do know that since I wrongly predicted last January that he would go after the summer world cup, he has displayed hugely more commitment in the games that I have seen than the likes of Nonda, Benny, Todd, MGP, Bentley and Gallagher! It's the Tim Sherwood, Jason Wilcox, Lee Carsley scenario all over again. Some people must simply need a hate figure to lambast at all times. I wonder who will be next to cop it once Neills gone for without doubt there will surely have to be one for 50% of our followers! Yet another idea for a poll eh guys? btw my money's on either Todd or Savage.
  5. Yeah........ . And Newcastle's last.
  6. Explain how that is please gaz.
  7. My God! This is a first Gunner .........I agree and applaud your last post too! Another with his head where the sun don't shine Philip. 'kin odd how their minds work isn't it? That kind of thinking baffles me, it really does. So irrational and illogical.
  8. Anybody care to tell me why the same people still leave the same time before the end when there is a very small crowd and getting off is not a problem in the slightest? There must be some flaw deep in their psyche that will not eneble them to cotton on to the situation around them. I get sooooo p1ssed off with people rudely and ignorantly walking in front of me, expecting me to stand and disrupt the views of those behind me and so on and so on whilst the closing (and frequently nail biting) stages of the match are in progress! One day.... and I can see it coming soon I'm gonna swing big time for someone. Yes I agree totally Paul. So altogether now.......... "Tee tum, tee tum. Always look on the bright side of life. Tee tum tee tum".....
  9. I wonder if the fact that despite being the only BRFC captain to lift the Prem Trophy that he along with Jason Wilcox and Lucas Neill all got sh1t from the crowd until they were so fed up with gormless and extremely personal comments from gobshite binmen, floor sweepers and the trilby and hush puppy brigade etc that they finally snapped and ended up remonstrating angrily and publically with the crowd can have anything to do with it? btw anybody see any coincidence that Sherwoods and Neills actions were both made to the same section of 'fans' ? I'm sure that irritating and irrelevent little tawt on the Beb breakfast show Chris Hollins has a speech impediment and is unable to pronounce the words 'Blackburn' and 'Rovers'! How they ever saw fit to replace Rob Bonnet with that stupid little cross between Timmy Mallet and Cheggars is beyond me. He is just about fit for the moronic and cringeworthy Sat am childrens TV.
  10. Lots of people pontificating on here from their bloody local armchairs and even lold sulkings taking his now normal great delight in dissing the rovers best efforts. Jims attitude is unfortunately all too common and widespread in this area and symptomatic of why Blackburn is a depressed northern town imo. If I was a local member of this board, in good health and the Rovers were playing at ewood against european opposition with very cheap ticket prices on offer for months I would not dare to comment whilst the match was on! However I cannot believe that NOBODY has made any allowance of the weather! The match was poor because the howling blustery wind ensured that conditions were desperately difficult. Sat in the stands most of us were protected but on the pitch a wind of that nature makes controlling and anticipating the ball desperately difficult. Have any of you lot ever kicked a ball in anger ffs or were you always amongst the last picked in the schoolyard by the two usual 'captains'? So before the ill thought out comments lets have a bit of thought eh guys?
  11. I don't necessarily agree aesf. The laws of supply and demand dictate that the problem would remain but it would be more costly than the price of a fix. Thanks for that snippet. Well done, I'm sure that everybody on here is really pleased for you Trig....... ooops sorry err Bucky. 1. Depends whether dealing in drugs is OK or not in the Koran. That doctrine (when it suits) appears to rule all their lives doesn't it? 2. Why does 'white and local' matter one jot?
  12. It's not a dead rubber at all. 1st and 2nd position is up for grabs and 1st will mean avoiding Champs League drop outs I believe. Anyway when will you see us playing a european night against a French club like Nancy again for less than a tenner?
  13. Yes but you are now a part time supporter. If you had a st, sat in the same place and went to every home game like you used to you'de no doubt get to know people. We have a right old conflab around me before and during the match and at HT down at the front of the Riverside. And there endeth all debate! It looks like a piggin PoW camp not a football ground.
  14. Just rem....... one thing is Tugay. He beat two Newcastle players in a twinkle of genius that brought the Riverside to it's feet, and then immedietly passed across the pitch right to the feet ..............of one of theirs!
  15. It'll take a while I expect. Anyway your workmates one of the the biggest culprits. "Rovers? F$%£ em! They don't come to see me when I'm bad do they?"
  16. There's no such instinct according to Paul.
  17. big fish, small pond and vice versa.
  18. Stuff the letter of the law Simon, most of them we know are definitely left open to the referees interpretation. I still think that to send a person off the offence must have been intentional and Tugays was most definitely not intentional as the trip was with the foot that he had tucked under his leading leg. Football is played at a wicked pace now and to brandish red cards for something so obviously unintended is farcical and prob one more reason for supporters feeling that referees are against them and voting with their feet.
  19. Sorry Agyblue but your answer is making no sense to me.
  20. You sound daft gazsimm. "business people who couldn't care less about the club"? Rover's best ever supporter built his own private suite for goodness sake! Why do you think that you are more of a "true loyal fan" than Jack Walker? I would guess that most of the directors are classed as quite good supporters too yet how many of them do you see on the BBE? What about the 500 club? After the likes of Burdie, John Pittard etc more dedicated supporters than them would be hard to find. Trying to be seen as some sort of embittered working class hero who is more valuable to BRFC than anybody else is a poor attitude to adopt.
  21. You must have been struggling towards the end of the Krakow game then. It certainly chilled down there at dusk.
  22. Which bit about Sat was that then?
  23. 1. Who mentioned the BBE? 2. Eh?
  24. Just looked it up .............. 12060 on in March 1987 for the Full Members cup SF v Ipswich!
  25. Just spoke to a colleague who has been for a ticket for the Nancy game. The girl in the TO told him that up to now about 10,000 had been sold! What a message that sends out to the players, Mark Hughes, the board, the media, the Premiership, the FA and the fans of other clubs who will be watching on tele if that is the case. Sooner than my prediction we are dying on our feet and fast becoming an an embarrassment to the football authorities. Anybody who agrees with the 'they want us out of the Prem' theory has certainly had their arguments strengthened by our shower. Only positive thing is that my 2 tickets for a tenner not only scuppers the theories of the cheap ticket brigade but blows them out of the bloody water doesn't it? Unless there is a late rush I trust it's put that theory to bed once and for all. This could well be one of our last european nights of all time and people just carn't be arsed. Unbelievable.
