  1. Bit of selective editing makes it sound far more respectable. Most business run with commision / bonus system on sales.
  2. Probably pub SKY watchers too!
  3. Timely post FLB. I wonder if Woy got a backhander for taking a crock off somebody's hands?
  4. Am I still completely wrong Gunner if the Mark Bowen / Norwich speculation proves true?
  5. Better food in the training ground canteen and a club house on Letsby Avenue?
  6. Yet another case for video evidence. But for Moran's goal how costly could that have proved to the club? Prem history could 've been dramatically altered too.
  7. Although part of GM now Bolton has a lot bigger population than Blackburn and is more affluent imo with a smaller %age of immigrants. However during our promotion season we had 5000 more supporters than them on average. I can only assume that a top six side, a new ground to be proud of, Europe, a great mgment duo in Gartside and Allardyce and the media dislike for them has given Notlob supporters a collective spirit resulting in their equivalent of the 'Walker years'. They are on an upward curve for the moment whilst the perception in Blackburn is that we are on a long term downward one.
  8. I honestly dont think there are enough people in the town interested or committed to do so! This town is not big enough to support a major Prem team and that unfortunately is that. Loads of people have simply switched off to the disinterested state of pre JW Blackburn. Many have been scorned at work and in the pub etc for doing so by mates / colleagues and the like and often too much water has gone under the bridge for them to eat humble pie and return. The number of stayaways appear to be growing like a cancer.
  9. And I bet we didn't sell half as many pies either!
  10. Mokoena and Oijer being easily confused of course!
  11. Some good points Paul but never mind supporters have you compared revenue of the two games? Dare I say it but it's prob of far more importance.
  12. Read my last sentence guys. Obviously a lot of strings would need to be attached but how refreshing to see a BRFC mgment team actually making money for the club compared to the lazy wasteful chequebook management of previous incumbants of the managerial chair. Anyway as far as business is concerned Philip, you make me £5m in a year or two and you can gladly have 500 grand. Have you never heard of commision? How does losing your top employee rate in your business world? "Offering an incentive to management for stripping it of its best assets!" Actually happens all the time in modern business. I'll agree though its frequently not a good thing in the long run.
  13. And what about Boltons 1st goal eddie? A bounce up on the halfway line would have been the fairest and best end to that major cock up.
  14. The operative word being 'foolishly'. The two pens that he has given away are indefensible and imo a player as obviously thick as he is a liability to the team and I will take alot of convincing otherwise. Heskey had a lot still to do to score and John Terry was not even near the play ffs! I guess too much water has gone under the bridge between him and the manager but all I can say is 'get well soon Andy Todd'.
  15. The old rules were better for all concerned linesmen, refs supporters and players. Decisions were black and white and thats that. Benni would have been given offside when the ball was played to Roberts. He'd have had a rollicking from his team mates and the the play would have been stopped. Nowadays linesmen are on a hiding to nothing.
  16. A point that I have made many times and one that will dispence with 'homers' and big club bias. Lets face it 40000 people roaring at 1 individual is bound to influence decisions. I dare say it would with each and every one of us.
  17. Sounds like you two have made your minds up without ever seeing him play for BRFC. Part of the give a dog a bad name brigade are you? imo he was third choice for MoM behind McCarthy and Bentley. The entire team played somewhat flat footed in the first half (as I warned that would earlier in this thread) after the European game. I will go as far as saying that our 4 current strikers are the best and most talented group of strikers that I have seen since the days of the SAS, Newell and Gallagher.
  18. You describe just short of 18000 keen supporters as pathetic? You obviously wern't there so whats your adjective for the ones including yourself who didn't go then? btw if you need any help I've a few in mind.
  19. Somebody just phoned me and being a st holder I dont know the current rules ..........Are tickets still for sale up tp KO? Phoned the TO to ask but nobody answered the phone. btw Jeffers in for inj Nonda. Roberts on the bench.
  20. Beware the European effect! Confidence is good but over confidence is a fault and a difficult one to prepare for. Be better if we were playing a top club today imo.
  21. 'English football is the worst for bungs in Europe' Well it would be wouldn't it? It has the most money sloshing around in it. I've said before I believe that we should legally and above board 'bung' (commission / reward is a nicer term) a good manager and his team for exceptional performances in the transfer market. If Nelsen had gone for 5m this summer then MH and his team could have had 10% for me. It would reward his mgment team for their efforts and abilities, encourage them to continue finding cheap talent, make money for the club and most importantly help to keep them at Ewood. The only danger being the mgment selling players purely for the commission before we have adequate replacements, thereby killing the Golden Goose.
  22. Anyone see Bolton v Lpool? The linesman at Notlob must have had his car nicked by a scouser recently.
  23. I went off him pdq when earky doors he decided to play with a dead squirrel attached to his head. Glaswegian low life.
  24. Disagree Macca (it had to happen soon) I thought RBS were as good as we have seen from Europe in recent years with the exception of Celtic. They were certainly far better than Glencler and CSKA imo. Their one touch passing and moving was excellent and there were times when we couldn't get near to the ball in midfield. They were certainly competative as well as a taj combatative and closed our midfield down very quickly too. They are out because their biggest weaknesses were their final ball into the box and a poor keeper. But Rovers were certainly made to work hard for the victory.
  25. The best view without a doubt is the 'Royal Box'. The next best view is the front rows of the JW upper. The Riverside is good but spoilt by 1. that daft walkway at the front. 2. those bloody stanchions.
