He can cause mayhem in the penalty area but you need other good players to profit from his chaos.

And if the trust decided otherwise Philip? Fantastic situation for us to be in after the dark years when we hadn't the proverbial pot to p1ss in and one which our neighbours serve as a a constant and regular reminder. I've just read that we may be selling Matteo back to LUFC, which is fine...... but can you recall when we would have been excited at the prospect of signing him? Anyway in this day and age what is £5.5m? That amount bought Shearer, Berg, Le Saux and Hendry few years ago, now it's an Emile Heskey or two Shefki Kuqi's ffs! What will that amount buy us in another 15 years? Whatever you may think ultimately we do have feet of clay! I suggest that any club that in modern business parlance cannot 'wash it's face' will sooner or later will be unable to continue to defy gravity and will ultimately find it's own level. I would much rather the Walker legacy be used to somehow leave us with self sustainable top flight football rather than simply provide an annual financial backstop. The antics of past managers show us the folly of pandering to the ever increasing demands of poor management who, experience tells us indulge in what is tantamount to financial blackmail rather than their own managerial and motivational skills when the going gets tough.

Just a thought but I wonder if Todds antics when he is dropped or subbed are prob down dismay at the prospect of his Dad phoning up to take the rip out of him afterwards?

Judas Neill? Crikey Nayef, he just wants to work for another company for a higher salary. Don't you want the same? -
Good job we got rid of that waster Bellamy! His misses cost Wales big time.

Anybody noticed the linesman's interpretation? Should make the prem list in no time!

Don't need to know lots of stats to come up with that assessment! btw might be wrong but I bet statto's never kicked a ball in anger in this born life. He is however a fairly regular visitor to Ewoods Royal Box.

Somehow I can't imagine them working in't River Darren Flopsy! All together now... Who ate all the beluga? Who ate all the beluga?....... -
56000 is very nearly double our capacity. Don't know about you but I cannot see any sense in chucking away something in the region of 750 grand. Anyway thanks to our myopic council (and despite paying exhorbitant council tax to BWD) parking is simply not allowed anywhere near Ewood Park on a match day. So why should the chance of our small TOWN for once showing off and staging a prestigious international interfere with their TJ Hughes / council house / benefit grabbing / boozebuster with chips n gravy for tea mentallity?

[Archived] Rovers 0 Chelsea 2

Just a quick point that hasn't been mentioned was how bored the Chelsea fans appeared and how boring it must be watching that dull and unexciting line up every week. Carrying on like that will surely see off Mourhino. With his line up and recources (and taking nothing away from the effort of our own players) imo they are seriously under performing. If Maureen was working with our squad I'd be worried. btw Football singing is rubbish now compared to just a few years ago I've no idea why there is such lack of imagination / creativity BUT why have no football chants been produced anywhere in the country purely to take the p1ss out of Roman Abromovitch? Target him well enough and persistently enough and he might just decide that he doesn't need it. -
there's more to it than that Fife... 1. No tele 2. No Car (linked to 3 below) 3. No giant retail parks. 4. Terraced houses ... no garden to look after. 5. No play stations. 6. People working in large groups (t'mills) with BRFC as the main daily topic of conversation. In short nowt else to look forward to to alleviate the daily grind. btw I'm sure I read somewhere that the 50's was when the population had the best 'feel good' factor. God only knows how they measured it though.

Could do with a russian billionaire taking over about 4 clubs in Lancashire shutting them down, building 4 supermarkets on the land before building a superb new ground and joining them together before banging a few heads from on here together and then getting bored and soddding off.
-
Very revealing Phil. I'd have used the word 'income' there instead of economies. 'Glasses half empty rather than half full' springs to mind.
-
So basically if it was just down to free tickets for t'lad wi't dad you 4 wouldn't be brfc supporters then?
-
A point that we agree on Paul ..... and the inescapable nub of the situation.
-
I've only pointed the OBVIOUS way forward not conducted a sodding feasibility study! Give us all your LONG TERM solution to our falling support then. But surely 99% of us were taken by our dads to BRFC anyway! Thats why we support them now for goodness sake! Where are we going to magic up all these 'Dads' from?
-
10,000 x £50 = £500,000 30,000 x £10 = £300,000 btw basic maths show that only 5000 willing to pay £60 will meet your full house income! Less variable costs required to. Liverpool is not a wealthy place Phil.... it just has a larger fan base! We in BBurn are faced with a falling population of fans mainly because of demographic changes, so we have a desperate need to increase our fan base..... simple as that. We cannot expand because of our surrounding neighbours who by and large are on the horns of a similar dilemma themselves. Please can you or scotty give me an option to our decline? As for watching BRFC in the conference...... sorry, but even if they gave me a fiver to go my life is just too short. btw I've managed to get you and scotty to unite! PNE / Notlob / Turdites should be a piece of p1ss!

[Archived] Shabani Nonda Signs

Can anybody remember the level of excitement that this signing would have created just a few short years ago? -
Comments like that do illustrate why everything we do turns out to be second rate. The TV coverage ensures that the whole country now know that BRFC are a Premier league team but with fizzy pop level supporters! People all over the country take the p1ss out of whippets and ferrets, flat caps and clogs........ I guess it's a matter of time before Blackburn Rovers are added to that list! Tell me how and why on earth can you expect BRFC to charge less than Burnley and Preston ffs? Crass stupidity! Tell you what..... you dont want BRFC to change (as I know it eventually will have to) so what is your solution Phil? Just please dont bang on about lowering prices again! Every marketeer in the land worth his salt knows that lowering prices ultimately devalues the product. It always reduces revenue and eventually reduces demand. People are so incredibly selfish nowadays. Anybody out there think they need more money? Right well instead of whingeing about not being able to afford the basics then just get off your arse and go and make some money then..... and don't expect someone else to subsidise you through life. You all know that there really is only one way forward anyway. btw Mods.... can you please change the title of this thread to "Whining Luddite supporters are Killing us"

Dear Admin Can we replace Vinjay with spencey in 'the hole'?
