Todays U21s game against Posh is a game with nothing at stake. We have already qualified, but can't catch the team above us. Posh can't qualify. Most of our better players won't be risked, yet Lancashire FA in their wisdom are charging £5 to get in on a Wednesday afternoon. Utter madness.

The way I look at the Diaz situation is. Are we going up with or without Diaz, probably not. If Diaz has signed a pre contract agreement with another club, then I would play who ever we have got, who will be playing for us next season. If Diaz does not want to play for the Rovers, then grant his wish and don't pick him. In fact I wouldn't even have him in the U21s. We are Blackburn Rovers, not a facility for keeping other clubs players fit. I know it won't happen, but it is what I would do. If on the other hand Diaz hasn't signed a pre contract agreement, then I would more than welcome him in our first team.

The fact is we lost 4-0 to a poor team. For me it is not whether Dack bust a gut or not. It is the fact that the system didn't work. So I would try a different system, rather than the same system with different players . Sadly Dack is not suited to the system I would play, that is why I would have him on the bench.

Yes mainly lesser clubs who cannot afford to keep the players themselves. But with central strikers there are very few of these players compared to the amount of clubs. That is why I don't think it is particularly strange that the Rovers haven't produced their own central striker.

Most successful teams buy in their center forwards. There will be examples against this, but not that many.

I enjoy going for a beer before and after games, this usually means I catch the train to both home and away games. Rail strikes and games switching away from Saturday 15;00 kick-offs mean train journeys have become awkward. This season I have been to the least games, in the last 50 years. I don't even watch the televised games, as we have become so boring to watch.

So you keep saying, but the wide forwards system has not worked regularly, so a change is called for. If you do not agree with this, fair enough it is your opinion. No need to reply, or we will go round and round in boring circles, of who's opinion is most valid.

You win the game through the middle. Play the players in their best positions. It is no good having a supply from the wings if there is no-one there to take advantage of it.

Personally against Bristol, I would start Markanday with either Diaz or Gally as a front two pairing, with Dack just behind them. Three in mid field, and a back four. We are in desperate need of a good performance and a win.

So we created the best three chances of the game, and all Rotherham did was score four goals. I know which I would prefer.

But in an earlier post you stated that we should look for players for the future (ie potential). That is exactly what those players mentioned, are.

Perhaps Greg Broughton's comment about 27 year old players, would have been more acceptable if he had said we cannot afford 27 year old players.
