I was taught every pass has the chance of an interception or a mistake in control. pass when it gains you an advantage or if you are under pressure, but not for the sake of it. especially in your own half. -

my thought process would be why does Nyambe have to make a five yard pass when he is under no pressure. -
what fan base?

Because I have other things in my life besides this messageboard. I answered the question you posed when I first read it. I will know in future that there is a time limit to respond to questions.

so what you are saying is one midfielder pushed forward. That is not a tactical change, that may happen during the natural flow of a game. A tactical change, using the same players would have been to play Gally as center forward ,down the middle and Chapman on the wing getting crosses in for him. any defensive headers out you have Johnson waiting 30 yards out to hopefully pick up some ball and have a shot. You never know he might get a deflection. I did watch the game, I will keep my opinion of the commentators to myself as I don't want to upset anyone. -

was that when it absolutely poured down and we were on the open end. Lads where raiding the shop/hut for boxes to try to keep the rain off. -

to me it is more a lack of willingness to change tactics when our first plan isn't working. -

It's an hours flight from Manchester to Germany, not a safari to the middle of Africa. And as you say, we don't know the circumstances. People always assume the worst. Perhaps he was given extra time off because Mowbray thought he was not required, then call offs and injuries occurred. I think that unless his family was in some sort of trouble, he should have been called back. -

He should have been flown back Friday night. Giving people time off when they can be spared is fine, but when we are short of players the club should come first. The Rovers do actually make his lifestyle possible -

But yet again he didn't produce much. I want more than, did little wrong. -
I would say most of Mowbrays decisions today cost us and that he has to take most of the blame.

If they are an improvement on the players they are replacing, get them in. -
Mowbray said that the team was put together at the last minute because of call offs. If you haven't got the personnel available to play a certain system, then play a different one. With those available yesterday 4-4-2 would have been better. It may have meant that Forest came further forward, but that may have been better for us. Sometimes a long ball game is the correct tactic

and Wednesday

But he can score from distance. Evans does not have this ability. Of the two Evans is the better holding player, Johnson is the more likely to score, so why play them in the opposite roles?
-
It might have worked had Evans played the deeper holding roll and Johnson the more attacking role. But no Tony worries about the opposition and plays Johnson deep, maybe because of his superior heading. I also could not understand why Chapman did not come on for Dolan instead of Gally, because ten minutes later Chapman came on and both ended up playing each others positions.

20,000 in spite of him, not because of him.

We have not been able to break down a defensive side on a regular basis for quite a few seasons. That is not, thrown together at the last minute. They are all pro players, I would not accept the amount of simple passes that went astray.

No he isn't.
