  1. As a starting forward line I would settle for that
  2. no chance of a flood.
  3. I would say winning is the most important aspect
  4. Personally I don't rate him. He doesn't create a lot, but his plus point is that he seems to be in the right place for tap-ins. He may improve, but I wouldn't bet on it.
  5. I did because I don't agree with it. In my opinion he did not stay on his line, he did in fact collect the majority of crosses that he faced. Because he didn't face many shots or crosses doesn't mean he can't deal with them.
  6. So you are judging him on what he didn't do. A strange way to look at it, but hey-ho. I thought he looked at ease with the game, he seemed to communicate with the rest of the team. A clean sheet is always a good game for a defence.
  7. A holiday resort on the south coast
  8. they will be on the bench as impact subs, depending on how the game is going.
  9. What I have noticed about him, is that he makes defenders make mistakes. If he can profit from those mistakes, he will be a real asset.
  10. Do you really know nothing about football. You should have been in the Lounden last Sunday.
  11. I don't think Downing is the answer to the left back problem, but he is much better than Bell.
  12. could you explain your comment, it's gone over my head.
  13. Is Williams not injured
  14. From the topic title I would say NO
  15. Similar to judging a player two seasons ago, and judging him now. A simple question for you. At left back do you think he is a better player than Bell, yes or no
  16. In the limited time I actually saw him play. I will say in my opinion he is a better left back that Bell. This discussion started about if Hart is an improvement at left-back, I think he is ! With reference to the merits of judging players. Would you say a player would be more motivated in a game where he will be picked the next game regardless of how he performs. Or in a game where if he shows well he could be picked for a team divisions higher. Even if it is a friendly I would be going for the latter
  17. I would have said exactly the same. The first two equally very high priority, the second two equally low priority. My caveat to this question would have to be, that the right players would have to be available at a sensible price for us.
  18. Which games specifically. I am basing my assessment on what I saw against Rangers on Sunday
  19. I'd start Armstrong or Chapman instead of Downing
