  1. It's difficult to fight an invisible enemy. If they were actually at the ground the vitriol could be aimed directly at them but I sincerely doubt they have watched a game for years. I suggested a few years ago that one sure fire way to get publicity would be to disrupt a match at Ewood. The easiest way it for a few hundred to sneak whistles into the ground and randomly blow them. The game would be stop/start and confusion would reign. It's cheap and would have the desired effect particularly if they were being blown in three different areas of the ground.
  2. It was a strange one with Szmodics today. He seemed to indicate he had to come off to the bench before the physios got to him. Benson immediately gave the substitution card to the fourth official and Telalovic was getting ready. When Szmodics went to the touchline after brief treatment he saw Telalovic coming on and starting waving his arms angrily. His body language as he walked around the perimeter wasn't good but he didn't appear to go down the tunnel for further treatment but went and sat on the bench. He did have an exchange with Tomasson but that appeared convivial.
  3. I have seen it and see no reason to doubt what he is saying about resigning with no pay off. Are you implying that he never offered to leave?
  4. From the timelines I remember his family were due over in the Summer about the time he had the rug pulled from underneath him. There was a story that his wife was taking a lease out on a shop in Whalley but then suddenly didn't. I don't get why he wanted nothing then but now you think he wants paying up now.
  5. How can he want the sack when today he said he offered to leave for nothing in the Summer when the 'project' changed. In light of that wanting a pay out is nonsense.
  6. There was an inevitability about today after yesterday's turmoil and so it proved. I thought we started quite brightly and at a decent tempo but after ten or so minutes it regressed into slow, predictable play which suited QPR who grew in confidence particularly with Chair often being given the freedom of Ewood. Lots of mediocrity on display today from far too many players, players who I thought had some fight and bottle but the lack of these worries me about the battle we are increasingly becoming embroiled in week by week. But ultimately the manager is responsible for results and right now we don't look like getting one. I don't criticise Tomasson too often but his changes left a lot to be desired today. Fleck might be lacking match fitness but I think he would have been a far better option to add some bite into midfield. Or even going to a back three by bringing McFazdean on and pushing JRC and Chrisene higher up the pitch. It was good to hear anti Venky chants going round and hopefully a lot more people can now realise that these cretins have reduced a proud, humble football club to ruins.
  7. I don't know if it's been reported on here as I haven't read through the recent posts but I was told today that Tomasson was actually sacked yesterday by one of the male Venky siblings but reinstated later by the woman Venky.
  8. There was an interview with him and a video too.
  9. This is so confusing. If Tomasson was forbidden from speaking to the press because it was his intention to call the club and various characters out surely he wouldn't have told them in advance what he was about to do. I just don't see it. If the story of him going after today's game is true then that raises a couple of questions. Firstly if he was going of his own volition surely they wouldn't let him pick the team, decide tactics and merely be in charge. If he has been told he is going - effectively sacked - then why would they let him run the show today. Surely either scenario would have a negative impact on the team. But once again the amateur hierarchy at Rovers have a lot to answer for. The abrupt, open ended statement yesterday has fuelled all this speculation. If he is leaving or has been sacked just tell everyone rather than allowing damaging speculation to be rife on an important match day. You really couldn't make some of this stuff up.
  10. I was in my car just earlier (about 6.15) and Nixon was on Radio Lancashire. His usual pontificating was evident but my ears pricked up when he said a delegation (that might not be the exact word he used) from Rovers will be visiting India soon to meet the owners. He wasn't as ebullient in his tone when he said it so it might have been him giving it the big ITK but he definitely said it.
  11. Me neither Den but for the life in me I can't see Tomasson being in charge tomorrow and leaving immediately after. His credibility will be shot to pieces if he has agreed to that. I think he will leave and I really thought it would be today.
  12. Why on earth would Tomasson be in charge tomorrow and leave immediately after? Than just isn't going to happen. I think he might well leave soon but under those circumstances, never.
  13. Surely it can only be Broughton or Waggott who have silenced him today. If so what are they afraid of. That is a really worrying development for me.
  14. Fleck I subject to EFL approval? Has this been officially confirmed yet?
  15. Apologies this should have gone in the Adam Wharton thread
  16. It's great that tomorrow we will have some actual football to focus on rather than the disappointment of the last few days and I'm looking forward to it. It will be intriguing to see if Tomasson gives McFazdean his debut but I don't know his fitness levels. If he does play will he to for a back three with McFazdean in the centre. I have read that he is better in a three as he relishes the physical challenge of playing up against a big centre forward and his lack of pace isn't exposed as much. Will O'Riordan get a game or even Koumetio? Suddenly Tomasson has defensive options after being depleted recently. I can't see McGuire or Fleck starting particularly the latter who must be way off in terms of fitness after very little football so far this season. QPR have one win in five but with a player like Chair in their team will always be dangerous.
  17. I honestly can't say I'm too disappointed simply because I've learned over the past thirteen years that getting my hopes up only leads to anger and frustration. The objective to me was simple - raise some money to keep the lights on at Ewood and Adam Wharton was the collateral damage here. We have sold the family silver and in that respect have played our last ace as there really isn't another Adam in the pipeline right now. This 'project' that Broughton babbled on about has gone into reverse as we have signed aging players albeit on short of loan deals and our best Academy player arguably ever has gone, gone too early in my view. No doubt we will hear about how we are planning for the summer now, how January is a difficult market etc. The recruitment department has failed massively here as the panic signings of the last few days have proved.
  18. Cue Broughton preparing his patronising post window interview where he praises the owners for their continued support and extols their virtues with his toothy, smarmy grin.
  19. You can hear the emotion in his voice.
  20. You can take the lad out of Blackburn.......... https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/february/01/-i-ll-be-cheering-the-lads-on-from-afar----adam/ That for me was an emotional read. I have many things to hate these horrible Indians for but reading that really struck a chord of how they have ruined us culminating in a young local lad leaving because of their gross mismanagement. Thanks for the pleasure and enjoyment you brought to us all Adam in your all too brief Rovers career.
  21. I think we are only allowed to have five loan players in our matchday squad. We currently have Moran, Ayari, Chrisene and McFazdean. It would be utterly pointless bringing more that that number in.
  22. Broughton and his recruitment team have made a great play about their scouting and how they have various lists in case some transfers break down. We must be on list X by now judging by some of the names being linked.
  23. No doubt some of the wannabe ITK's will have picked up on this post and put it out there as "my sources tell me.....". 🤣🤣
  24. Warnock saved them from relegation and he went in September to make way for Darren Moore. Moore has flopped, been sacked and now they are once again linked with Warnock to save them. Is there no accountability from the people who make these decisions?
