  1. He calls it a business decision which is fair enough and yet Gladwin got six months rehabilitation contract. Double standards once again.
  2. Plus he hasn't played for Middlesbrough, West Brom or Coventry and I'm sure he was pictured in ripped jeans. ☺️
  3. Bloody hell mate that's harsh. He was inconsistent but you are putting him in the Murphy category with that accusation. His loyalty was never in doubt to the vast, vast majority of Rovers fans. Why don't you go and ask him yourself?
  4. That's Fantasy Island stuff mate. We'll never score two ???.
  5. The Birmingham manager actually referred to our left side ie their right side.
  6. This assassination by Mowbray really begs the question of why he paid £5m him. Has he just started to do this after he signed for us? It's far more likely that he has always been like this which in itself begs another question of why pay that much. Maybe Mowbray thought he and his coaching staff could fix this which is another massive failure if so. He really should keep his gob shut. Mr Teflon Mowbray.
  7. I was there and didn't know anything about him crying until I logged on here. His body language when he was going off appeared to be one of frustration and disappointment. Did anybody categorically see him crying?
  8. I never heard any booing neither. Clearly some fans were getting agitated and I heard some individuals shouting at players but nothing out of the ordinary.
  9. We had enough chances to have won comfortably today but were so wasteful in front of goal. Brereton and Gallagher are poor at pretty much everything but I'm reluctant to have a go at them. It's not their fault we paid money massively disproportionate to their abilities or pay them handsomely on fantastic contracts. The fault lies with Mowbray, Waggott and whoever else allowed Rovers to be duped into buying them. On that alone they should be sacked. There were a lot of other inadequacies today for which Mowbray has to carry the can and a lot of these traits we have shown time and time again but nothing seems to happen. He is the public face of Rovers but I don't believe he accepts enough responsibility for results. There's always a reason or two which doesn't involve him. I think we'll finish in the bottom six but the real worry for me would be next season. He should do the honourable thing and go. There's no shame in saying he's taken us as far as he can and getting out with some pride intact.
  10. I agree but if he went with Leutwiler, Hilton or Fisher today we (and they) know that Where's Wally would be back for the Nobbers game.
  11. I didn't hear anything I could disagree with in all honesty. Working on weaknesses and working on various aspects is how to improve. If you were the goalkeeping coach how would you address the three goals we conceded at Forest which were all attributable to Walton? There's an old saying about making a silk purse out of a sows ear.
  12. The reality is that Mowbray is being critical of himself and his coaching staff regarding Rothwell. He's been here 18 months now and there hasn't been any marked improvement as I see it. If Mowbray sees weaknesses he should address them on the training ground and not go public in his criticism of him. It's not the first time neither. If he can't be improved then it's another filed under 'Mowbray's poor signings '.
  13. Planning for next season will be starting soon and if Mowbray is given until the end of the season and then sacked any new manager would be starting from scratch in terms of new signings (and given the out of contract and loan players that could be a lot).
  14. An absolute waste of money. Mowbray should be held accountable for this farce.
  15. That's akin to saying that Mowbray shouldn't be allowed to sign any more players because generally his signings haven't added value. After the last four games I really believe we will be in a relegation scrap and anything can happen. We are stagnant under Mowbray and I don't think he can turn this malaise around. We need some fresh ideas, some motivational techniques and a new pair of eyes. I said to you the other day that I would move Damien Johnson up and you disagreed which is your prerogative. There is growing concern about the direction we are going under Mowbray but your assertion about the elephant still in the room is absolutely correct. Venkys are slowly killing us.
  16. That my friend is absolute nonsense. Bristol should have been the template for the way forward but since then we have been poor in every game.
  17. I'm struggling to think of one positive from the shambles today. If there is a possibility of sending Walton back to Brighton I would do it. He is so brittle and his decision making is worse than Raya's not to mention his awful distribution. I'm sure Lenihan has an anvil for a head as the ball doesn't half come off his head at some funny angles. Tosin wasn't much better. Both full backs were appalling and in midfield Downing was the only player who got anywhere near the standard required. Our strikers were frankly embarrassing. Mowbray is blaming errors and whilst that is true the close scoreline today papers over lots of cracks. The buck stops with him and he just doesn't have the answers. We have no footballing identify despite him being here nearly three years and spend upwards of £15m. I have always said he is Mr Average, a mid table shoe in type but after the last four games I believe we are regressing and will be in a relegation scrap.
  18. The lack of faith in Mowbray and the team is apparent and it's difficult to argue with. These fallow periods which have been a constant in Mowbrays tenure are depressing. To add some balance we can also go on winning/unbeaten runs too but this aspect of Mowbrays management is really frustrating and it's during the poor runs that the apathy towards him increasingly grows. Personally I am traveling down in a forlorn hope that we can win but being realistic I expect a defeat and lots of excuses about injuries and tiredness.
  19. Happy New Year to Rovers fans everywhere. Let's hope the ball runs kindly for us on the field and that our insolent owners do the honourable thing and pass the club to people who care.
  20. It's a moot point you are making. I'm my previous post the point was about wasting money rather than being pedantic about when it was.
  21. Will they no be included in the latest accounts? Irrespective my point about Mowbray splurging money stands.
  22. But they didn't play for nothing. And we ended up paying them off. A rough estimate between £1.5 and £2m. We did pay a fee for Gladwin and then gave him a six month deal to convalesce. These are questions the owners should be asking.
  23. With his slow build and us treading water we are just going further into the abyss. Johnson has proved he can improve young players. As I said our only hope is selling young players as promotion is really out of the question given the playing squad we currently have. I would rather we were an average Championship club with youngsters rather than loans and one year deals for aging players. In my view we can keep our Championship status with the former.
  24. Mowbrays slow build theory is backfiring massively. With another huge loss just reported and no real assets to cash in with and now Dack is injured our future looks bleak. And with several out of contract and loan players potentially leaving they will need replacing. With no money what will he bring in? With the problems mounting our only escape route is youngsters and I would entrust Damien Johnson to try and take the players he has nurtured into the first team.
  25. I would imagine that a lot of these were critical of the protests about Kean and the owners when the 'get behind the team' phrase was coined. We all know how that ended. If fans want a lower to mid table club then Mowbray is their man. I consider myself a proper supporter and I want the best for my club. Mowbray is probably doing his best but for me it's not enough. Being a good man but average manager cuts no ice with me. Mowbray gets an easy ride at our club. He appears to have autonomy on most things. When the heat was turned up slightly during and after the Barnsley game he seemed to be wobbling.
