  1. The Birmingham v Ipswich game contained one real ingredient that can make for a successful Championship season - the intensity you play at. I thought it was relentless and significantly several players from Birmingham were suffering from cramp from 75 minutes. Two big decisions went against Birmingham too. It's difficult to categorically way they were wrong but both, I thought were extremely harsh. Kyogo looks a real player. I really thought Ipswich were favourites in paper but I saw a few chinks in their armour last night and this season could be a really open one in the Championship.
  2. There have been other steps though - all backwards.
  3. He went straight into the Palace team when he signed for them but wouldn't have done at the others. So from Adam and his families/advisors point of view it was the right move. But I think all the others knew what a prodigious talent he was.
  4. This one sentence sums these fools up. SS- Stated that no one knew Wharton would be a good player at youth level whilst AO Stated no one pays more for a championship player,
  5. You know Carl it's the first day of the season tomorrow and tens of thousands of supporters will go to games full of optimism and excitement. For Rovers fans seeing the owners representative coming out with that really takes the wind out of our sails knowing that there is no ambition, no desire to get promoted or be successful. I don't know for sure but I would think the rattled snake is deceitful when it comes to speaking to the owners and what he tells them. It really is in his own personal interests for them not to know what a charade he is overseeing. Self preservation of the highest order.
  6. Deary me. This confirms in many supporters minds how much the big decision makers to Rovers are out of their depth. Suhail Snake has pretty much confirmed that there is no ambition from the owners. So what is the point of Blackburn Rovers anymore? Under pressure rats will devour one another and the evidence is now there for all to see. It makes you wonder what the Punekars are being told by Snakey who is clearly rattled (a rattled snake?) 😂 Well done to Glen and Duncan for holding their feet to the fire.
  7. Dom Hya m and Dingles new keeper Martin Dubravka.
  8. Burnley's new blue and white away kit.
  9. In a normal world apologies would generally be acceptable for this kind of behaviour but (if this is what happened) they are trying to pretend it didn't happen. The absolute arrogance of them.
  10. The club keep coming up with these hare brained schemes which will undoubtedly deter some from actually going. It's simple really - give fans a choice of using the options available. I really don't care if other clubs or organisations are wholly digital, as a club with a dwindling support they should really be understanding of this and after for everyone. I expect all kinds of problems next Saturday when we play Birmingham if the Everton friendly is anything to go by.
  11. Are you in a position to name who has edited (or initiated the edit) the minutes (both versions) from the club? Many could hazard a guess and the strong likelihood is they would be correct I believe but it would be helpful at this stage to prevent the unnecessary criticism of certain Forum members.
  12. Brackley have replaced Morecambe in the National League Cup as announced on July 30th. Rovers are playing them next Tuesday. No mention of this on any Rovers social media.
  13. Bolton play their first home game against Plymouth on Saturday. So far they have sold over 20000 tickets. We won't get that many on in our first game against Birmingham despite them potentially bringing 7000. Let that sink in. https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/over-20000-sold-back-steven-lads-weekend
  14. This law change has been brought about due to referees not applying the law in the first place. I recall at Leeds the season before last and the first time Pears got possession of the ball. I timed it at twenty seconds before he played it and that set the tone for the game from a Rovers perspective.
  15. https://theanalyst.com/articles/championship-corners-2024-25-goals-stats-opta According to this goals from corners is less that 3% in the Championship. Personally I've never really understood the excitement for corners apart from an opportunity to put the ball into the penalty area (which many teams opt not to do anyway). The new 8 second rule for goalkeepers will be penalised with a corner if the keeper transgresses. A direct free kick from 20 yards out would be more of a deterrent in my opinion.
  16. The recent first team fixture changes haven't been updated neither. Communication eh?
  17. It's not always about the delivery though. I saw many good corners in particular last season that we didn't take advantage of or were well defended.
  18. A week ago this https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/july/28/u18s-fixtures-confirmed-/ appeared on Rovers website but the article only gives information about the first two fixtures and listing the teams in the league. The fixtures still haven't been uploaded onto the website https://www.rovers.co.uk/Matches/u18 It probably doesn't mean a lot to the majority but quite a few who want to watch the under 18's deserve better.
  19. The first half was poor from both teams and they both improved in the second half with Stanley starting the better and deservedly taking the lead. This seemed to have a positive effect on Gillingham who had the better of the game after this. I thought a draw was a fair result but for Stanley I think a mid table finish will be considered successful. Tyler Walton was Stanley's best player but bizarrely he was substituted after 85 minutes when Stanley were pushing for a winner.
  20. I was at Accrington yesterday against Gillingham and was looking forward to seeing Bradley Dack playing. Sadly he was a shadow of himself as he struggled with the pace of the game. His injuries have clearly influenced this but he was portly too which didn't help. He started on the right side of midfield but was shifted inside to a role he is more accustomed to as a deep lying striker. Still his impact on the game was negligible and he was hooked after 70 minutes, probably 10-15 minutes later than I thought he should have been.
  21. I laughed tonight when I saw Russell Martin's interview after Rangers had drawn against Motherwell. He actually said some of the Rangers players have to drop their egos........as he ran his fingers through his dyed hair and stroked his beard. Rangers were booed off by their fans who clearly aren't liking his Primark Pep style of football.
  22. I wasn't there (I was at Accrington) but a friend who was there said it was harsh. He said it was a foul by Dunn but he was sent off for DOGSO when the Ashton player was a long way from goal and Batty would have got round as cover. The Ashton manager even remonstrated with the referee as they wanted an 11v 11 game.
  23. I believe Isaac Dunn was sent off early in the match.
  24. They met at 6 am today at Brockhall and will probably be in mid-air on the way back as I write this. No overnight stay in Hill on Friday. Had there been any travel delays the game might not have gone ahead. I know it was a friendly but this is so amateurish.
