  1. They should be. Collections were available depending on which phase they brought in but by now they should all be there. Probably best to call first though to make sure.
  2. Travers and Travis? We are going back to the days of Hanley and Henley.
  3. Selling any of the first team squad would be absolute folly right now given the lack of numbers. Travis is already on two yellow cards and is bound to pick one up on Saturday. With a few fragile bodies in there we would be cutting our own throats.
  4. If you buy in advance online it is £15 for adults, concessions are £11 and it's free for under 12's.
  5. For anybody who might be interested in watching a game today Chorley play Southport at Victory Park with a 1 pm kick off. And for the very keen ones Euxton Villa play Darwen with a 3 pm kick off. The drive between the two is about 15 minutes.
  6. I know. I was using it as an example of the name 'Pape'.
  7. And they bought relegation. 😂😂
  8. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pape_Gueye Rovers are now calling Makhtar 'Pape'.
  9. The mascot package will have to be rewritten.
  10. He also said if Szmodics hadn't signed for Ipswich by July 31st he wouldn't be going there.
  11. Longsiders is trying to lull us into a false sense of security. Don't be fooled by his bluff and bluster. 😉😁
  12. Agreed. I don't quite get the bad feeling towards him at all. What he lacked in quality he more than made up in commitment and this was recognised by Mowbray and the other players. He quite often expresses his love for Rovers on social media.
  13. Our under 18's lost 5-2 at Wolves yesterday. It's been a bad couple of days for the under 23's and 18's.
  14. I refuse to get sucked in by all this 'crisis' talk from over there. They have scored nine goals in their three games and lost yesterday to a good Sunderland team. They still have players who, on their day can have too much for us with pace being one of their strengths. Right now I'd take a draw. Under these wretched owners we haven't beaten them and undoubtedly the trogs will be eulogising about the Punekars next Saturday.
  15. We've been doing it all season. A left footer and a right footer as potential corner takers so the opposition don't know if it will be an in or out swinger. I think it's simplicity at it's best and I haven't seen it done before. There are several pre ordained signals to the players in the penalty area. On a couple yesterday there were about sixteen players in the goal area and after the signal some of ours split into different directions. The naysayers will point to the fact we haven't scored yet but I welcome this initiative and think we will get goals from it.
  16. Elliott Bennett got a round of applause but there were loud cheers when he said he really enjoyed his time here bar one season. He qualified that by saying something like 'we all know who was in charge then though'. 😂😂
  17. I don't think he is injured if that has been implied. My concern is that he can't complete a full game and after 50 minutes he looks tired. I would start him on Tuesday to try and build up his fitness as I think he will be crucial next Saturday. His aggression and drive will be needed.
  18. The really pleasing aspect of today for me was that we actually came back from behind to win against difficult opponents. And the most pleasing aspect was winning. These are the type of games where historically we have dropped points so I'm delighted with that. And again great credit to Eustace for his use of substitutes as we now have five goals from players he has brought on. And the real beauty of this is that you don't need to be a Guardiola to see it. We have actually predicated every one of his changes so far this season and essentially they have been like for like. Nothing complicated and keeping pretty much the same shape and formation. It wasn't pretty at times and we looked ragged and weary in phases but the main objective was achieved and seven points from the first three games is a great return. Clearly we have a few who aren't up to speed fitness wise and I would be giving them each an hour on Tuesday to build this up.
  19. Indeed. The number of free headers the Oxford defenders were winning was frustrating but that stopped when Gueye came on. I would have started him and brought Ohashi on.
  20. Today will be another hard match which is what the Championship is. Having seen Oxford last season and their two league matches so far the thing that struck me was how big their two centre halves are. Given our weakness at defensive corners/set pieces I think they will look to exploit this and in Branagan they have a player with good delivery. But it really is more about us. If every player does their job we should win and as ever I'll take a scruffy 1-0 just as long as we win. In our two league matches so far we have started quickly and got on the front foot. Hopefully we do the same today and get an early goal.
  21. Max Davies played against Rangers last Monday.
  22. I saw Hayden Carter watching the under 21's at the Academy yesterday. Normally players are straight home after training and resting the day before a game. I am assuming from that he won't be fit.
  23. I expected more too. We'll never know but I wonder how many would have bought tickets on the day. Whoever makes these decisions down there should be accountable.
