  1. Of course we troubled them. Didn't you see the last ditch challenges they made, hacking it out for corners and hoofing it upfield under pressure. We didn't create great chances but to say we never troubled them is nonsense.
  2. How many times did our press win the ball off them high up and we pretty much stopped them doing what they have been dominant at, playing out from the back. How many times did Muric kick it long? A lot more than he wanted to I'd wager. How much did they create, how many chances? Did Pears have any more saves to make than Muric? They resorted to kicking Adam Wharton because they couldn't handle him. Cullen aside and perhaps Benson when he came on not one of their players impressed me.
  3. You are confusing better team with winning team. They scored and won but we were the better team. If you couldn't see that you should give up.
  4. You have just assassinated the whole performance there, a performance in which we were the better team. Each to their own I guess.
  5. Nailed it mate. He let Tomasson and the club down beyond belief and we are still waiting for him to tell us what happened as he promised he would do. He is a no mark, a chancer who follows many like him over the last decade. We would be better off without him.
  6. Well done Rovers tonight, the team, the management but especially the fans. I haven't experienced an atmosphere as good as that from Rovers fans for a long, long time. I couldn't ask any more of the players who all worked hard. Of course there were some errors but tonight I think it's far more important to focus on what our club could be, what it probably was and has been dismantled over the last decade. Two absolute stand out performers tonight for me. Adam Wharton and Sam Szmodics were excellent, better than anything that lot had to offer. It's a credit to Adam how many Dingles actually kicked him as they were fearful of him. Once again a weak, out of touch referee who simply didn't understand that they were kicking him in rotation so one player didn't get in trouble for persistent infringement. Szmodics just never stopped and his running off the ball was terrific. If we had more with his hunger and attitude we wouldn't go far wrong. We should all feel proud of our club tonight even in defeat to the team of shithouses. They were horrible tonight and their fans song about 'no one likes us, we don't care' was never more true. I hope their manager shafts them and they get relegated next season with the lowest points ever.
  7. Swag will be able to boast again that he has reached his target and the errant ones will laud him for that. The head of the snake should have been cut off some time ago.
  8. At quarter to five the police were outnumbering the Dingles in Darwen by eight to one and there were eight bobbies. 😃😃
  9. At a reported three grand the least you could expect is for it to be centralised.
  10. I understand people not going because they are working or struggle to get to night matches but not going because effectively you are scared. That's a new one on me.
  11. Referees like Scott have benefited hugely from the dearth of quality, in other words when he was promoted he was the best of a bad bunch. An ever increasing budget (probably more than a lot of full time EFL clubs), two groups of full time officials (four if you include the linesmen), plenty of full and part time coaches, physiotherapists, sports psychologists and other ancillary staff and can anybody say that the standard is any better. I think there are too many manufactured referees who don't have a feel for the game. I saw one on Sunday refereeing our under 21's. At my age I could have refereed it with no hassle but this bloke had four yellow cards when the game didn't need any and gave City an outrageous penalty when one of their players was blown over by a gust of wind. I worked with Howard Webb many times as we came through together but he has the devil's own job to improve the standard. As an old colleague used to say to me "you can't weave without weft" .
  12. Of course he might. I really believe that will come naturally though as he progresses and get a chunk of Championship games under his belt. At his age going to a top club would mean either playing in the under 21's of being loaned out.
  13. He is contracted with until 2027 so if he didn't want to stay (and we wanted to keep him) the only way he would have to force a move. If he did that it wouldn't do his reputation any good. He has good people around him who know what is best for him and advise him accordingly.
  14. I think this fallacy of selling and reinvesting in the team has long gone, perhaps by a dozen years. Sell a real asset like Adam and the reality is most of it will go to offset the losses. Here's a novel approach for the owners. Keep him, rebuff and offers, coach him, play him regularly and I think whatever his value is now will double in no time.
  15. Quite and significant in light of the news on Morton.
  16. Tomasson quite rightly got plenty of pelters after his team selection and set up against that lot in their midden. Five/three at the back, inverted full backs/wing backs and Mola and not one player coming out with any credit. Significantly he hasn't made the same mistake since then. It was a horrible day and in truth it still rankles as a low point for me in a long, long time. That alone should act as motivation along with the prize of a playoff place and the pride of the club and its supporters. From the first minute we need to be in their arrogant faces, challenging like it's the last tackle you will ever make and not giving them an inch. We can play out part too by making as much noise as possible. Just remember Lie Tella and Harwood-Bellend how they celebrated like they had won the World Cup. Remember the drink driver with his interview when he referred to us as Bastards. Remember that lot singing "you're fucking shit" as the players and us fans trooped out. And take them thoughts to Ewood tomorrow night.
  17. Losing Morton is a real blow and leaves us short in a key area. I noticed that Tomasson name checked Edun in his interview so I expect him to at least be on the bench.
  18. The allocation is just under 2000 with the various phases listed too. I think you should get your tickets but he on the ball on Friday morning. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/april/19/ticket-news-millwall-v-rovers/
  19. Tottenham keep sacking managers but the dunderheads that appoint them stay in situ. Reading and listening to various media outlets yesterday the fans are finally getting it.
  20. Lock up your daughters 😂. Weren't you a Rovers follower in the '70's and '80's and if it wasn't on Sky would you just miss it altogether? I think your predictions above will go the same way as your results forecasts.
  21. For those who still believe 😁 Play-off schedule Championship Saturday, 13 May: Semi-final, first leg - 6th v 3rd (17:30 BST) Sunday, 14 May: Semi-final, first leg - 5th v 4th (12:00 BST) Tuesday, 16 May: Semi-final, second leg - 3rd v 6th (20:00 BST) Wednesday, 17 May: Semi-final, first leg - 4th v 5th (20:00 BST) Saturday, 27 May: Final (16:45 BST)
  22. And we have had (and still have) too many of those self serving egotistical types here.
  23. I think the weakness of Pears that you highlighted is also Kaminski's main weakness. In my view Pears has done little wrong, certainly nowhere near enough to be dropped.
  24. Man City youngsters were a joy to watch today and sometimes you just have to say the opponents were too good for you. There was no lack of effort from Rovers but City's passing, movement and touch was excellent - it was so easy on the eye. In fairness Sam Burns came on in the second half and was probably Rovers best player as he could have had a goal or two with his running in behind. Ayala looked a way off fitness yet and I'll be surprised if he features in the first team this season. Interestingly there was no Ash Phillips or Harry Leonard.
