  1. Not quite, they think they are replaceable cheaper. I agree with many of your other points, there is a argument to be had that these players have had their chance and not taken it I agree. I think its a loser's mentality which has pervaded the Club for many years rather than the individual players. Big Sam - target certain games and forget others. Just do enough Bowyer - Arm round the shoulder - development is the main thing not the results Lambert - Im only here to get my career back on track You can sell Rhodes if you like I couldn't care less. Coyle - Let's have a game of ping pong Mowbray - promotion? No thanks - Im only here to top up my pension fund and look after the players who are already here. For me there's only JDT and Eustace who have ever shown any ambition. VI - we'll have to wait and see but the fact he's willing to go along with RG's scheme doesn't fill me with any confidence.
  2. Judging by the insanely high turnover of non playing staff, the Club would seem to be a fairly toxic environment to work in. I think Id rather take her word for it as someone who's worked there rather than any of us on here who haven't. Think it was Glen who said employees aren't valued at the Club and there's little opportunity for pay rises or advancement. Similarly with Head Coaches and playing staff, Suhail doesn't seem to value in the least anyone who has done particularly well for us. The attitude isn't "We need to keep hold of this fella at all costs" it seems to be "We'll just get someone else in and we'll probably be able to get them to do it cheaper".
  3. Nothing he hasnt freely admitted himself in the past. Man of principle? Do me a favour - Which manager doesn't try his utmost for the Club he's working for? (Apart from him) Too many people fooled by the old "Jumpers for goalposts, lemon drizzle cake" routine.
  4. Bloody hell ......but it's ok for the manager to come out in Public and say "Trav let us down" but not specify a reason? Talk about double standards!
  5. If he's that annoyed about it - why doesn't he say why he thinks Travis has let him down and say ""Lewis has let us down because he did X,Y,Z" etc etc then everyone can make their own mind up. Bit of a coward's trick to chuck a hand grenade in and leave it at that.
  6. I think anyone who uses the word "aligned" from now on should be fined Β£10. Money to go to charity!
  7. Agree...... but I thought this particular article was fair and balanced. Don't think the author is "falling for" any of it.
  8. Why then would he still be listed as an employee whereas Waggott is not? This does need clarifying. One poster on here suggested he'd had personal issues to deal with.
  9. My thoughts exactly. Wrong way round. Travis always put it in for us on the pitch. Buckley didn't.
  10. Any fee mentioned? Best of luck to him. Great servant.
  11. The never ending journey ........whilst managers/head coaches, agents and Senior Executives pocket a small fortune.
  12. It is lunacy on the face of it BUT we are where we are and if it were to take a couple of seasons to succeed and come to fruition then that wouldn't be unreasonable nor would it be for this year to be one of consolidation and improvement. (I dont think that will happen for the avoidance of any doubt, I think the whole thing is completely bonkers and entirely cost driven)
  13. I think 7th to 10th would be a relative success given all the upheaval if you could see definite signs that we were on an upwards trajectory and were improving all the time. But no, of course we shouldn't have ripped everything up and started again, we should have kept Eustace happy and built upon and made a few tweaks to what so nearly worked last season. And also once Eustace had gone, VI was completely the wrong appointment for the remainder of last season. As I said at the time they only needed someone to come in temporarily and keep the hand on the rudder and tell the players how great they were, not someone who wanted to go in a completely different direction. If we'd made the play offs but not gone up then maybe that was a better time for the completely new approach in the close season. Still wouldn't have been my choice but we're stuck with it for better or worse.
  14. I think Mckenna gets an incredibly easy ride off everyone by virtue of his back to back promotions. Yes that was an unbelievable feat, but, they spent a lot of money and were piss poor last season no matter how you try to dress it up. Seems like they've started in similar fashion again this season as well.
  15. It is desperately needed. We have Ohashi, who Id say is more of a number 10, Gueye, who Ismael seemingly doesn't rate and Leonard who has allegedly been frozen out.
  16. He was never coming here at Β£5m E was he. Bit like that CB Kapuadi who was linked with us early in the window at Β£4m.
  17. Exactly. The T2000's are a lot cheaper to run than the T1000's to use Paul's analogy.
  18. Hmmm......... "You can't judge without knowing exactly what's gone on" (Fair) But....... "There's no smoke without fire!" (Unfair) Obviously he's a (very) good player for the level we're at, not a great one and the Club will survive without him. We lost Shearer and the Club's still here (just about).
  19. Hypothetically, (as I doubt the above is the case) I'd say definitlely not. But then you're straying into very different realms there than simply running the Club badly. If a Club is "only" being run badly it's down to the disaffected fanbase to shift them not the Authorities.
