  1. After seeing Miller play I hope not.
  2. I can't actually believe that whatever is shown in the photo is what Lynsey Talbot was referring to in the FF. Surely not even this lot would have the front to pass that off as any form of permanent solution?
  3. We might reach the semi finals at least this year if all our ties are drawn at Ewood. "Here is the semi final draw." "Arsenal will play Aston Villa" "and Manchester City will play Blackburn or Walsall or Queens Park Rangers or Everton or Newcastle"
  4. I agree with you 100% but they think the prospect of offloading even more players to trim the wage bill and replacing them with untested youngsters will get us excited?
  5. So if that's what was referred to by Lynsey Talbot at the Fans Forum, a "drainage sleeve" is actually a second hand exhaust off a Mk 1 Escort? Looks expensive. 🙄
  6. Good luck to either of you getting an answer on that.
  7. That might have been his intention but not really. His "galloping steed" is a boney old nag fit for the knackers yard if he thinks only 60% efficiency on the drainage is acceptable. Surely that's the whole problem rather than the solution or being acceptable?
  8. 100%. The threat of pretty severe sanctions is also probably the only way anything approaching a proper solution will ever get done. Otherwise we'll just be treated to yet more BS along the lines of "a drainage sleeve" getting done "that week" but nothing ever actually happening.
  9. Yep, they didn't spare any expense when we got relegated to League 1 under Mowbray. The worst of the problems started with the advent of the Indian Court case.
  10. Just because it may have happened nearly 60 years ago doesn't make it acceptable or "just one of those things" in this day and age with the technology available Im afraid.
  11. Also for many years the Club took the cheap option of just turning the top part of the pitch over in summer rather than replacing it completely. I wouldnt be surprised if below that everything is packed so solid a lot of water never reaches the drains at all.
  12. I hope the FA take really stringent action. If a stand was unsafe the Licensing people would shut it down. If the ground as a whole wasn't up to professional standards the League wouldnt allow us to compete. Well, the pitch isnt up to professional standards. No different from the rest of the ground imo.
  13. Ok thanks. I suppose if they could change the result then any other Club adversely affected could rightly complain about the integrity of the Competition being compromised.
  14. Don't be so precious. Obviously you condone what happened today then?
  15. My reading of the rules you previously posted was - they can do whatever the hell they like. They have chosen to follow previous precedents to date but my understanding was they're under no obligation whatsoever to do so.
  16. Not at all. They have complete discretion. (But chose not to exercise it last time)
  17. Not enough. Points deductions and /or the threat of expulsion from the League if the work isnt done required.
  18. (Tin hat on) Deliberate ploy to mothball Ewood?
  19. They've obviously never seen the US Masters Golf, those guys can clear a waterlogged golf course in about half an hour.
  20. I agree. I honestly don't believe a fine is severe enough. Either that or ban us from playing at Ewood until the remedial work is carried out.
  21. The weather has been EXACTLY as I saw predicted last night - light rain in the morning turning heavy about 4p.m. I mean these days forecasts are so good that you know days in advance what the weather's going to do and we STILL fail to react.
  22. Not sure if you're being serious or not....... I mean pending a permanent solution to the drainage solution the least we could have done was invest in some covers and rent some suitable machinery etc
