  1. Nailed it there in a polite, respectful way I think. Shame J Biz has flounced off in a huff and won't see it.
  2. You sling insults around but didn't or couldn't respond to any of the points I raised I see. Bye.
  3. What an arrogant condescending post. We've just seen our most valuable asset eased out of the Club to keep the lights on until summer to be replaced for three months by a rag tag bunch of assorted loanees. We might just about have enough to survive this season but talk about kicking the can down the road - and for a very short distance. Sorry you dont like the fact posters on here arent happy about that. What do you think we're going to do when that money money runs out, sell Szmodics? Then what? If you can get over your sense of superiority for 5 mins you might care to reflect on the fact that players of the ilk of Jones/ Duff/Wharton only come along every ten years or so and we've just been forced to sell for a relative pittance. The Club is only headed in one direction currently, if you want to bury your head in the sand about that fine. Will we be OK to call you all sorts of names along with being just as "short sighted" as you think we are on here when we drop into League 1 and beyond?
  4. That was then before the Indian Court proceedings and this is now in case you hadn't noticed. I'm sure you have but are on the wind up.
  5. Ditto Markanday 12 months ago.
  6. We'd have been a lot better off selling Gallagher and bringing in a striker 5 years younger on a permanent basis at zero net cost or maybe even a small profit after taking account wages.
  7. No but unless he walks tomorrow he is obviously completely happy with the whole thing and complicit in the whole charade. Don't think JDT will be as impressed.
  8. Come off it. GB is absolutely stealing a living. Yes he may have a limited budget, yes he may still be able to sign loanees but he has still delivered another absolutely abysmal with the funds he has. He could literally sign ANYONE no matter how bad or how unsuitable (and is doing) and everyone just blames the owners. Nice work if you can get it. And what are the odds he fucks the Mcguire deal up like he did the O Brien deal just to cap the window off properly?
  9. It's been suggested, and this window has done nothing to dispel that notion, that Wharton has been sold in lieu of having to go back to Court in March and they will only go back when the Wharton money has run out. Seemingly if they request say £11m funding they have to lodge the equivalent amount with the Court as security
  10. I'm actually looking forward to hearing what the smug bastard has to say to try and paint the window in acceptable light. I'm guessing the only thing he can say is to use the classic excuse "January is a notoriously difficult window, we're keeping our powder dry until summer".
  11. I wonder if there's ever been another professional football Club who were that desperate not to pay a transfer fee for a player that they reneged on a permanent deal on ostensibly favourable terms to enter into a loan deal on far worse terms?
  12. And 12x it if you wait another 6 months.
  13. "Right then Adam, it's entirely up to you of course but there's a good probability that if we don't sell you this window, the Club will go to the wall".
  14. I succumbed too, it's so ludicrous. 5 hours to go, unless something completely unexpected happens which hasn't previously been mooted anywhere it's impossible to believe JDT will be remotely happy.
  15. Everything seems to come as a surprise to our management. Queries from the EFL (O Brien) Bonus entitlement (Wharton) requirements for overseas transfers (Mcguire)
  16. Maybe but at the very least the others are complicit.
  17. "The Club". Could be Venky's could be Suhail, could be Waggott could be Broughton or a combination of any of above.
  18. Yes, it's looking like when the original Mcguire deal collapsed last night it was because we put a ban on any permanent deals but not loan business. Therefore we had to renegotiate a (much) worse deal for Mcguire to capture him on loan.
  19. He was on the subs bench last night v Spurs. Not sure if he came on.
  20. So £18m in plus Loan that won't be made permanent Loan we don't need Possible further loan and Ennis possibly out And Bayes is trying to dress it up as something impressive
  21. It's not "back on" as such though is it? It's turned from a permanent deal to a loan we'll never make permanent. If he does well on loan, great, but after that we'll have flushed away another £500k and be back to square one.
  22. You couldn't make this shit up. £2.3m permanent fee negotiated, we renege, then renegotiate a loan deal costing c £500k with an option to buy for a total of c£7.5m! But yeah, we'll be signing him permanently.............
  23. Which we won't exercise. Read what I put properly.
  24. How many times? Not exactly going to be paying it all up front for any purchases either!
  25. We're definitely not signing him permanently then. Why would we agree to a more expensive option than the fee we originally negotiated? Madness but par for the course here I guess.
