  1. Agreed on Leo, best GK performance this season - continues to get better each game and head & shoulders above Pears.
  2. Funny thing is, there were at least one or two legitimately tipping us for a relegation fight not too long ago. Currently 1 point off the play offs, almost halfway through the season.
  3. Not a good half, but the stat that matters: 1-0. Pleased with a lot of Ennis' work so far, looks sharp, direct and has a nice touch. Fingers crossed the last few months have been spent getting his body into a more robust condition. Tronstad, as always, impressive.
  4. Bit of a must-win for me - we've been in a spell of good form (2nd only to Leeds before the weekend) and expect us to shake the Leeds defeat off. Would prefer an early couple of goals and a comfortable evening, but I'll take a nervy 1-0 if it means we get the 3 points, possibly even squeezing into the top 6 if other results go our way.
  5. Beaten by a better side on the day, it happens. Saw an equal amount of decent stuff from us and suicidal play at the back. Get it out of the system and beat Bristol in midweek.
  6. I like him and glad he'll be sticking around. Has improved under JDT and is a solid member of the squad, also able to cover at CB.
  7. That's interesting; I'm positive that GB has publicly stated that the club was heading in a completely different direction (eg an Ainsworth) until he caught JDT just as he was preparing to accept another European offer. I'll try and dig something out, sure I've read this online - but the implication was that GB was solely responsible for bringing JDT to the club. Overall though, depressing read (the meeting with SW). Just existing in the Championship benefits nobody. Venky's lose money, no player or manager with any ambition would look at us and the fans have nothing to be optimistic about. We really do need fans in key parts of the club; people who give a shit and want the best for the club. Whatever the next stage of the club looks like, this has to be a priority.
  8. Zero chance of JDT leaving Rovers for Sunderland 🤣 His next job will be in a top division, England or elsewhere.
  9. They do seem to have a larger caveman population in their fanbase than most. Something in the water over in Yorkshire, all of the South Yorkshire teams are much the same, even in 2023. However, more importantly, the match. It's a game we should logically lose; plenty of injuries, beaten by the bottom side at the weekend and Leeds have a decent team for this level. So a 2-0 home win then, in typical Rovers fashion.
  10. I think Gilsenan has had some injury issues in the last few months, but I'd agree - I'd have hoped we'd have seen more of him (when fit). Maybe he'll be on the bench tomorrow.
  11. I really like him. The introduction of him and Moran into midfield has been the main catalyst for our recent form. He makes himself available in the deeper areas to keep the ball moving; you notice it more when he's not there. Have to give credit to Moran - does a very similar job, but at the other end. His assist tally is totting up nicely already.
  12. He's deserved that, has Harry L. Had a good game; goal and an assist.
  13. No, Pickering has been solid tonight. We just generally look a bit open. Siggy has been a bit wasteful and easily dispossessed, if anyone is going to be the fall guy, I guess.
  14. They'll get at least one more decent chance if we don't tighten things up.
  15. That Hill goal just won me £344 off a £3 free bet as well. Chickened out and cashed out - the final bit of the bet was Carter to get booked (for £1.3k).
  16. Some of the football we've played in this 2nd half is genuinely as good as I've ever seen, in my time watching us play.
  17. Or just my personal preference, as it is for those who would like to stand up at a match 👍 It's alien to me, but clearly a section of people have a desire to do it.
  18. A combination of reading between the lines in the minutes and also the LT reporter's summary - the implication is that the issues may be coming to a conclusion, hopefully.
  19. I have to say (as I have before), I really don't see the appeal of standing at matches. I'm not old enough to remember it, with seating being all that I've known - as well as having young kids with me / to keep safe. But I just don't get it.
  20. I like this a lot - me and my little lads will be there, 100%. I really liked the activities and the 'outside of the ground' stuff at the Girona match, really felt like a proper effort and atmosphere. Would be great to get above 20k.
  21. Potentially promising news on the Indian restrictions. If it can be resolved before the January window, we might just have half a chance this season...
  22. They're not a good side at all and Rooney is far from the tactical magician. If we have any genuine ambitions of the top 6 this season, games like these are absolute must-wins. Get us settled with an early goal and it should be a comfortable evening. 4-0 Rovers.
  23. Something that may have been missed with everything else going on, but still worth pointing out was Leo Wahlsted's performance. Very solid, one very good save (just after we'd gone 1-0 up) and was proactive in coming for crosses and catches. Growing with each game.
  24. I think this is a really important part. JDT spent last season setting the scene (ie implementing his style of play / etc), which we're now seeing the benefits of. But he would have been planning for a couple of key additions in the summer, a proper forward being the obvious one. He has us 3 points from the top 6 with this squad, as we head towards the halfway point of the season; a superb achievement. Imagine where we could be, with that bit of investment...
  25. Another fantastic away day and result. Lots of good performances, but I think Hill is immense at the back. Pleased to see Garrett come on late and create a couple of goals, will do his confidence the world of good.
