  1. Seems fairly simple that emotions will run higher after a dreadful performance/defeat or even a thumping win. I’d guess the Wycombe/derby/Coventry games were a hive of activity in terms of posts equal to defeats. But today was just meh. I think a lot have realised that the bigger picture for rovers under Mowbray is mid table mediocrity. We’ll probably average out a season with as many wins, draws and defeats. Nothing to get too exited about or unnecessarily wound up by.
  2. Back into our 8th-14th zone. The world makes sense again.
  3. It was most definitely turgid but I’ve no idea what he saw to make him think we know how to defend. Most games (including boro) the defence play like it’s the first time they’ve ever met.
  4. Yes that’s shaping up to be the only high point of the season. Looked very poor. Finally chinks in their armour. Added to that dyche criticising the board for not strengthening hopefully the whole edifice is crumbling at Bonleh. Maybe the policy of buying good championship players means you end up with a good championship side. Just need these Egyptians and crooked lawyer to treat the dingles the same way the Venkys have treated their baby.
  5. Agreed. Also if folk consider Hughes a busted flush even at this level then Mowbray is a busted 2 pair.
  6. Yeah it was. Jesus. Time really does have no meaning when you’re living Groundhog Day.
  7. He should have been sacked last season during the 9 defeats from 11 run. On top of Tonebola’s long long long list of excuses and deflection settle in for the endless cycle of justifying him as manager. Start of a season: what idiots want to sack a manager this early let’s see where we are at Xmas. Xmas arrives: busy period can’t possibly sack a manager during such an important schedule of fixtures. After Xmas: let’s see what he does with the January transfer window. After January window: tough to do business in January. Plus it’s too close to the end of the season now can’t possibly sack him. End of the season: let’s see what he can do over the summer with some new faces. Who would possibly come here anyway. Start of next season: what idiots want to sack a manager this early let’s see where we are at Xmas...
  8. If you’re bottom 3 and down to 10 men
  9. We can’t even get the ball into the box off a corner.
  10. We must be the only side who can take the ball from our own box to the oppositions box and back to our own keeper without losing possession or posing a threat in any way.
  11. A lot of pointless possession as always.
  12. The early days of a number 10 tantamount to a team of Martians. Inverted wingers flying full backs. Right footers on the left, left footers on the right. It’s a window into how his mind works (or doesn’t). The best advice anyone could give Mowbray is not to think. He’s not intelligent enough
  13. https://mobile.twitter.com/BBCLancsSport/status/1323693928353275909?s=08 god he talks some shite.
  14. I’m slightly bitter towards Middlesbrough that after Woodgate they didn’t bring their local boy Tony back home. How dare they appoint a decent manager instead. It genuinely was the only chance we had for a change in direction. Alas Steve Gibson isn’t that daft. Probably remembers his last stint. By the end of Tuesday I'm sure it’ll be 5 defeats from 6. The manager under no pressure big runs of defeats nothing new. The post match interview littered with excused and blame elsewhere then with the token play off remark. It’s almost as if everything he says is for the benefit of those in Pune towers.
  15. Gallagher is just another cul-de-sac he’s taken us down and is too stubborn to admit he’s wrong or too stupid to see that it isn’t working. Same with Bennett we all know he’s going straight back into the side when he’s fit even though now in most positions there’s at least one player better than him.
  16. It seems the choice is fairly simple now. Accept mid table mediocrity under Mowbray (similar decision with bowyer) or gamble that another manager can give us the extra edge we need to go further knowing full well the Venkys track record of appointments is grim. But who makes the decision. The Venkys are nowhere to be seen and we don’t actually know what interest if any they have. This could range from watching every game or just being told at the end of the season where we finished. Then the ceo swag who is the managers mate and has proved himself at best ineffective and at worse totally incompetent. ROCK FANS HARD PLACE It’s draining being a Rovers fan it really is.
  17. The tony Mowbray post match excuses drinking game. Drink when blames Covid, injuries or uses phrases akin to we go again and early days. Won’t be able to stand up at 17:05
  18. It’s a pattern of his entire management career.
  19. What’s happened to Lenihan. Such a deterioration
  20. A typo or a glimpse into our future
  21. Have we won a game when Evans has started this season.
  22. I think in the league as a whole there will be lots of twists and turns. However, I don’t think that will include rovers. Not unless the twists come in the form of the lofty heights of 8th then the depths of 14th. We are the epitome of mediocrity under Tonebola.
  23. I thought this might be a big week playing 2 higher teams to judge where we actually are. At least questions have been emphatically answered. No doubt will again on Saturday. But fear not will probably get a point vs boro. Then the following Saturday qpr will have a man sent off and a thumping 4-0 win.
  24. The only way Mowbray will leave is if some sort of professional pride kicks in and he accepts that as a manager he is unable to get us any higher than 8th-14th. Will he. Of course not. He’s either 1 deluded enough to think he can get us higher. Or 2 he knows he can’t but is happy just collecting the easiest money in football.
