  1. I’ve been wanting things to go back to normal. Would have liked the England batting collapse to have stayed in the past though.
  2. And that’s another part of my frustration there’s some bloody awful teams in this division that have occupied 6th. And we still can’t manage it.
  3. I feel more frustrated than celebratory tonight. Same old story of pressure off and we perform. Then a combination of disinterested/disengaged owners and the ability to appoint your own chairman means have another Teflon manager. Haven’t addressed the defence in years, prone to 2-3 prolonged meltdowns per season (Last season was it clubs longest winless run since the war or something), wasted serious money on donkeys and unable to make signings. Hard to see any sunny uplands from this. Best case: another season bumbling around mid table. Worst case: Bury.
  4. Always option of playing with 10 men over Bennett.
  5. That’s what Tonebola sees everyone else
  6. I know nothing about ice hockey but I went a few times in the late 90s. Quite enjoyed it but just stopped going for some reason. Back then I seem to recall they were at a fairly decent standard (not exactly sure at what level). Also I think they had a Canadian player who was quite good either used to play at a higher level or went on to.
  7. Beating Cardiff or even a West Brom is just the sort of result Rovers pull off to either to dangle the carrot or to keep the status quo intact.
  8. Not a chance. They’re all on easy street just picking up a wage. I’ve never once felt any of them care beyond the most basic level of professional pride. As for any bollockings why would he get irate his job isn’t on the line just another day at the office.
  9. I’m not exactly sure what the relationship was between Mowbray and Waggott was before his time at rovers. But I do wonder how many clubs have had a manager that’s effectively appointed the chairman. It all seems a little too cosy for my liking. Of all the disappointments on the pitch and incompetence from the very top it’s bizarre things like that that grind me down bit by bit.
  10. What might have been. Instead we’ve got Tonebola saying never mind Elliott you’re still my favourite while handing out his wife’s lemon drizzle cake.
  11. Roll up! Roll up! Buy your season ticket at rovers. Come and witness the amazing Bennett a master of all positions. More ponytails, alice bands and beards than goals. The ring master Tonebola and his eenie meenie miney mo approach to team selection and tactics.
  12. He was able to ride out 9 defeats in 11 was it last season. He’s bulletproof.
  13. I certainly won’t be swayed into a season ticket with this lot and Tonebola pulling the strings. A truly dull side perfectly in the image of the man himself. I’ll just pick and chose games avoiding the games like sheff wed we price at £48 and out of principe avoiding the games I’m liable to pay waggott tax.
  14. Excluding Tosin as a loan player. Players I think are at an acceptable standard-Nyambe (most of the time), lenihan, travis, dack, Armstrong and Downing (knocking on a bit). Maybe holtby/graham as squad men plus the younger academy lads. Obviously couldn't replace an entire squad in one window (we can’t even get one centre half in 3 windows of trying) but the rest of the squad could go for me. Either way it’s a very fragile squad. With probably no money if lost a few key players I see us as being nearer to relegation than assembling a squad genuinely capable or a promotion challenge
  15. Agreed. Expressed myself poorly there I meant 2 players I’d defo keep but going forward not many miles left in the tank at their age and will need replacing soon.
  16. I’d also add Johnson to that list. Then downing and graham got to be the wrong side of 35. Huge job rebuilding this squad in the summer (mainly due to the neglect in the last 6 transfer windows) if there’s any money. If not might have to play the kids.
  17. Yeah Raya had a few clangers in him as well. The reality is the standard of keeping in the lower leagues is abysmal across the board.
  18. So Gallagher and Bennett are the weak links who’d have guessed.
  19. If that’s real. I could get on board with it if jack is behind them looking down in disgust. Also re very good owners over last few years comment. Too little too late. It’s like someone shooting you in the chest then giving you some bandages to make up for it.
  20. Please say someone’s taking the piss with some photoshop equipment. Surely they haven’t done that whilst manacling JW to a railing. It’s totally believable they’ve done that though but don’t like seeing them there even as cardboard.
  21. Will be interesting to see how we get on in empty grounds. We seem to have precious little lambs playing for us who think they should be excused from any criticism. So could work in our favour plus it’s not exactly like we’re roared on at home or put massive pressure on the refs. I reckon a good feature on that ifollow would be in the last 5 minutes a vote on what noise to play at full time. From full hearted ovation, apathetic applause, murmurings of discontent to hostile booing.
