  1. An interesting documentary on Amazon Prime for those fortunate to have it, “The Test” is all about the rebuilding of the Ozzie test team after sandpapergate., yes I know we are supposed to hate them but it is a brilliant behind the scenes documentary.
  2. Mogga’s excuses are cringeworthy. Thank God he’s not here anymore.
  3. Never realised Scott Dann started his pro career at Walsall. Are there any others who have played for both clubs?
  4. If there is wasted time it will get added on. It’s not rocket science but probably out of the intelligence factor of the players.
  5. I’ve always had a soft spot for Ken Barrington. As a young lad in the 60’s I worked on the playing fields of Stonyhurst College during my school holidays. The MCC used to play a match there each year and on one occasion this guy asked me if I would bowl a few to him in the nets, prior to the start. That man was Ken Barrington although I didn’t know it st the time, after the game he gave me a bat which 60 years later I still have.
  6. The decision to keep Bairstow will come back to bite our chances of winning the Ashes. The selectors should admit they got it strong. Winning is far more important than saving face.
  7. I just love test cricket, especially the ashes series. I hope we get the weather at Old Trafford and I presume the fans will be up for it like the Yorkies today.,
  8. Brook obviously thinks Root is batting like a rabbit in the headlights by keeping the strike.
  9. How many are doing the same as me ? Watching on TV with commentary on TMS.
  10. Michael Vaughan is the new Boycott, his criticism of Bairstow, Root or Brook is minimal. They’ve been a let down, say it as it is. Boycott is a total hypocrite telling us that Yarkshire is Gods own country but not good enough for him to live there. I watched a documentary the other day where Vaughan said his overriding ambition when he started was to play for the county of his birth and how proud he was to achieve that. Well tell me Michael, geography isn’t your strong point because where I’m standing, Manchester has never been in Yorkshire.
  11. Or a stick of rhubarb as someone was always saying.
  12. Maybe that’s the end of Warner as a test player
