  1. Can someone please tell me why the ref is a Premier League referee and not a ref from the Championship ranks. After officiating all season are the suddenly considered unfit ?
  2. I have a mate who had a bakers in Ossy for 40 years and we’ve always argued about barm cake, oven bottom etc. He has always always called them muffins.
  3. It must have been huge if you could sit in Clitheroe and reach it in the Aspinall Arms.
  4. He might be more of a viable option for Everton if they get relegated and pot Dyche.
  5. I hope Leeds go down. In the past they were a bunch of thugs and their senior players, like Bremner, Giles and Hunter, treated one of the best British managers the game has ever seen in Brian Clough in a despicable manner. In more recent times their fans are abhorrent, I was spat upon on many visits with Rovers to Eland Road. The only downside for me is that the odious sods will be in the same division as us if they get relegated. A pity they won’t drop two divisions. I hope Everton stay up, at least they’re from this side of the Pennines. Leeds are Yarkshire trash. Gods own country my arse!
  6. Just watched Raya pull off two world class saves for Brentford. This from a keeper who Mowbray said wasn’t up to the mark and is now valued at 40m. Was there a sell on fee when we got rid?
  7. Well it was Fergie time in reverse so it was ok by me. There was plenty of the Posh keeper falling on the floor when there was no need.
  8. He’s certainly a sly dirty barsteward though !
  9. The problem these days is the fact you can bet on all aspects of a game. The number of cards, which player will get a card, number of corners etc etc. It is open to all sorts of corruption. If I was a ref for example I could get a pal to put a bet on the number of yellow cards and make sure that was exactly how many I gave in the game.
  10. Especially that in 1962, the then England centre half Peter Swan along with his two Sheffield Wednesday team mates, David (Bronco) Layne and Tony Kay were given a four month jail term and banned from football for life for placing a £50 bet that Wednesday would lose to Ipswich Town, which indeed they did. The ban was lifted ten years later. These were the days when the authorities had the power.
  11. He got away lightly with an eight month ban.
  12. You’re having a laugh I take it! They don’t have the nouse to even think that intelligently.
  13. Well we are only a young team but we will go on and improve with the experience. Good lad Tony at least it’s a short trip home from the stadium of Blight. Boro or Coventry will both beat Luton with any luck though.
  14. But it’s 1-0 to Inter now, how exciting .
  15. I have to agree. They may be good in the air but the skill factor with the feet in the box is dire. How did we let either of these two finish above us ???
  16. We all have BT Sports according to you then? Anyway it’s a boring 0-0 up to now and if I along with others enjoy slagging off the gurning barsteward or shitty Luton, we will .
  17. Amari Bell to score the winner in the 98th minute.
  18. If I was a ref I would have sent a Sunderland player off with that response, surrounding the ref in numbers.
  19. I don’t understand why you think it looks crap other than reminding you of those two plodders. I could equally say it looks great because it reminds me of the Bryan Douglas/ Andy McEvoy days.
  20. Well that’s your view. I just like unfashionable teams giving a kick up the arse to the establishment. We used to be the ones to do that but we are miles away from those wonderful days.
  21. You just have to love Brighton. A club that is run how we used to be with a great manager and honest skilful players. It was great to see the plastic Arsenal fans streaming out of the ground 15 mins from the end, and that Arteta, what a complete knob, he must hold the record for the number of cards any manager has received in a season. Plus is hair looks like Action Man’s
  22. You can watch Brackley v Kidderminster next in the Nat League North. What a joke Brackley being 20 miles from Oxford yet they are in the North
  23. I would like to see Sparkie take the bantams up. I hated him as a Utd player but loved him when he was with us as player and manager.
