  1. Of course Chaddy, but you know what I mean. I’ve been going to Hampden since 1960 so Scotland-England has a meaning to me for sure.
  2. @roverandout So sorry for the loss of your dad. I am 73 but think of my dad everyday although he died 36 years ago. It doesn’t matter how long ago it’s still the man who made you what you are. Keep him in your memory always.
  3. Why does Southgate play the best lineup when it’s a friendly that doesn’t matter in the great scheme of things, but picks a boring sideways/ backwards lineup when it does matter? He’s a total f**kwit.
  4. And then we get this total knob head telling us interesting things. Wait for him saying it’s even better than the Premier League in which he is frightened of playing. What a prick. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66751562
  5. You’re quite right Gav, that’s a perfect summary.
  6. Took this last night at the T20 v NZ. I thought it was a nice touch by LCC to remember a great player, he might have been an Aussie but I think most fans here still loved him.
  7. Great so far, and when we reach the final it won’t be against Spuds 😃 The BBC and others p**s me off though. According to their scores page it could be Harrogate Railway v Blackburn Olympic. They should be forced into using the correct names.
  8. The consistency of referees is getting far worse. Howard Webb is trying to sort things out as best he can but even he must be tearing his hair out, if he had any! In the game last night the ref gave a second yellow and a red for a foul and previous time wasting (a minimum amount) but then later didn’t give anything to two Arsenal players waving imaginary cards.
  9. Personally I don’t give two hoots about their pro league , nor anybody going there to play in a football backwater. (My description). What I would really love to see is one of these football icons to be found in a homosexual situation, or to be found drinking alcohol in an area where it is illegal, and then see how the Saudi government deal with it. A public beheading of a football superstar should put the end to their WC aspirations.
  10. I was at the BBE but over the wall on the red track. I was 13.
  11. From the BBC web site: Brazil forward Neymar, 31, reportedly requested a 25-room mansion, a swimming pool and sauna, eight workers to keep his house tidy, nine cars and all expenses paid for travel, restaurants and hotels when he signed for Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. (Cope, via Goal)
  12. Absolutely, I struggled to recognise him as a Brazilian after being brought up watching great players from the 60’s and especially the 1970 team. Neymar is a cheating diving arsehole compared to those greats.
  13. That’s because we have gone from a world leader in producing goods to a nation of pen pushers and service industries.
  14. Thanks Den for posting those. What a fantastic team we had then. Greavsie was still quick enough to catch a dog 😃
  15. Thanks for the pics Den, unfortunately I’m not on Facebook so I couldn’t see them. I was at that game and didn’t Andy Mac show Greavsie how to do it. I think he was top goalscorer that year.
  16. Average White Band - Pick Up The Pieces
  17. If you were a coach wouldn’t you show the players clips of Shearer penalties.
  18. Mike England…..now he was a thoroughbred!
  19. I think Chris Sutton was the CB for Norwich that day.
  20. There used to be a members map on the site which I always found interesting but I don’t think it’s here anymore. I may be wrong.
  21. Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons - Big Girls Don’t Cry
  22. Well spotted OJF. I posted on the Walsall thread mid match that the referee might score a couple for us but nobody seemed to twig what I was on about. The ref was called Speedie 😃
  23. Will.I.Am - I Like To Move It
