  1. Big game today. Obviously the defeat to Wigan was in the cup but we need to put that behind us and get back to winning ways now. A classic Mowbray death spiral would be an unbelievable kick in the bollox to Rovers fans after such a promising first half of the season.
  2. I find it a little bit frustrating that clubs had no income for such a long time due to COVID and it seems the rules haven't been relaxed to take this into consideration. Not sure how that works or if it's fair to be honest. Also, I thought it was just a transfer ban not points deduction for breaking these rules?
  3. Option to buy according to Hertha. Crooke believes his name it's pronounced Zay-Fike, which is disappointing.
  4. Dolan has done well and I think he will develop further but I don't think he'll be a player for a Championship team at the top end of the table.
  5. Maja on loan with a view would be sensible if we are looking at replacing potential future outgoings, BBD in this case.
  6. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19849600.blackburn-rovers-make-move-tottenhams-dilan-markanday/?s=09 "Rovers are wanting to add more depth to their forward options this month and are looking at a move for a central striker." Assuming this is in addition to the Spurs lad? Or is he a central striker? Seems a bit odd that we would bring in a central striker when Gallagher continues to get shunted wide. I figured the Spurs lad would play more in a "wide forward" role, freeing up Gallagher to play centrally. If we are continuing with 3-5-2, and surely there is no reason to change it, there are now only 2 spots for BBD, Khadra, Gallagher, Dolan and this new lad.
  7. It's fake. Just the Buckley story with some attempt at changing the text. Here's the Buckley story with the same time and story about the Dingles below:
  8. Who Zeefuick knows! (This is going to go on for years)
  9. Burnley have money to burn after flogging Wood to The Saudi's. But couldn't see Buckley going there. He'd probably go to Leeds, although they aren't much better off than the Dingles.
  10. This Spurs lad coming seems like a decent deal on the face of it. On a permanent, bring him in and actually get him to develop for the benefit of Rovers, rather than a PL club. As for this season, he might not be a hit the ground running signing into the first 11 but you'd imagine he can impact from the bench.
  11. Ah, cheers. For some reason I thought he was in his last year. Dunno why.
  12. Did Kane ever sign a new deal? Or can he walk for free at the end of the season? (Maybe I imagined that?)
  13. Was just about to post similar. Sell the training ground and Arma for a combined £30m (less N'Castles slice) and we can't even cobble £1.7m together.
  14. I wish I was a fly on the wall for point 4.
  15. RiP Shebby. Crazy times when he was around but if he was part of getting rid of K**n, Anderson and Shagnew then he gets a lot of credit from me.
  16. Sounds like he's staying at Sheff Utd https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-united/wolves-boss-bruno-lages-encouraging-comments-on-morgan-gibbs-whites-sheffield-united-future-after-praise-for-boss-paul-heckingbottom-3521091
  17. Always takes an ice age for us to get deals over the line. We seem to know about them via journo's for days before they sign.
  18. How amazing would that be, to cap the most bizarre footballing story of recent times to see him signed by Barca or Real Madrid. (I don't believe it for a second but it would be class if it happened)
  19. Obviously some serious concerns regarding our fringe players after today. No way can we rely on Pears as No2. He's utterly dreadful and is just an accident waiting to happen. Like Jason Steele and Walton before him, you'll always be on edge when the ball is near our 18 yard box as you know a mistake is on the cards. Right back is looking like a problem without Nyambe, Gallagher is still useless as a wide forward, Edun doesn't seem much cop at left back, Johnson isn't a centre half. Not much we can do in January to address all these but reinforces that we need some better players for the squad.
