  1. 1-1 The journey continues but is nearly over!
  2. But you've already previously posted that Coyle was interviewed by Pasha and "unnamed Indian gentleman" and off the back of that, he was recommended to the owners. So Pasha's last known involvement was to overrule the appointment of Warnock for Coyle and you think he's fit to conduct a managerial search?
  3. And that's the type of thinking that Rovers should be seriously considering. For the last 11/12 years they have cheaped out on the managerial position and its cost them everytime. I can't believe they still haven't realised that it's a crucial appointment and getting the cheapest you can find rarely works out. I can't imagine Venkys will change now and I'm 99.5% certain our next manager will be represented by HSH.
  4. Why are there so many stupid football owners? I mean, we have some of the worst but binning SD at such a crucial junction in the season and not have someone already lined up to step in is madness.
  5. Pretty sure he got this petty and came out with some snide remarks during last seasons 2nd half of season collapse?
  6. No Mowbray?! Shock
  7. Any early favourites for the Dingles job at the moment?
  8. Which managers did we supposedly speak to? Did it even happen as Mowbray never left?
  9. Absolutely mental. He's a borderline miracle worker. He is exactly what we need. I reckon he'd come here if the offer was right but our owners wouldn't get anywhere near that offer. Pretty sure Wharton was on the cusp of being loaned out again but ended up staying because of injuries. Wasn't he also out of contract as well at that point?
  10. Totally predictable that we would lose this. Mowbray is a joke, his team's only play in halves. 1 half per game, first half of the season only. If Venkys give him another contract it will scandalous.
  11. Losing our captain to the Dingles! What a shambles Venkys have made us!
  12. Just popped up on my twitter feed that he's scored for Chorley past my local club York City. He had a decent pre season once and we all thought he was going to be the bee's knees. Seem to remember he had some mental health issues, which saw him drop out of the game? (Could be wrong on that)
  13. And that, is the only stat the footballing god's need. I've changed my mind: 2-1 Posh.
  14. Yer, it's a reasonable line of thinking tbf. Also, if they let Mowbray go but keep Benson and Lowe, possibly Venus too, they save money/hassle on a new (and decent) backroom team. It's exactly the lazy, easy, unambitious type of move Venkys would opt for.
  15. 1-1 I reckon. Another wrong set up by Mowbray, an abject first 45mins followed by some half time changes and Dack to climb off the bench and rescue a point.
  16. It may be the case that the owners don't respond, and personally I don't they will but I do think it's important that there are still people out there, definitely a group such as the supporters trust, keep trying to get some form of dialogue going with the owners.
  17. Sorry, you're only allowed to pick from this list (as provided by @Miller11 previously): Here is the HSH list… Steve Cooper Mark Robins Craig Bellamy Gary Holt Sami Hyypia Gregory Vignal Tony Pulis Graham Westley Micky Mellon Dave Challinor Dean Keats Fabrizio Ravanelli Paul Jewell Tony Philiskirk Rob Edwards And our previous three managers too, obviously.
  18. 11 years later and they still haven't figured out that getting a decent manager in is very important.
  19. But he says he met Suhail first, so why, when we had Warnock in the bag did Suhail even meet Coyle? And then off the back of that meeting, recommend him to Balaji? Also, why the f**k is the managerial appointment left to Suhail, "unamed Indian gentleman" and Balaji, who's combined footballing knowledge must be just about enough to fill a thimble? And so it was proven, their appointment led to us being relegated to league one.
  20. Although neither have signed a new contract, you don't know for certain that a new manager might tempt them to stay. What if, for arguments sake, they appointed Rooney as manager. Those 2 might very well look at the prospect of working with a such a high profile name and adding in his good work at Derby enough to sign a new deal.
  21. So, as I understand it, one of the people in charge of appointing the next manager is a bloke who overruled the appointment of Neil Warnock in favour of Owen Coyle. And the other is Waggot? ...........great.
  22. What was last season's dismal run? Feel like it was similar to 4 in 17?
