Mowbray is an infuriating manager. He knows what works best for the team but is too stubborn to play it all the time because he wants us to be a possession based team. I genuinely think if we stuck to our best set up and style (direct football + counter attacking) and ditched this crazy notion of being the Barca of the championship, we would currently occupy a place in the top 6.

I'm currently "on holiday" with my wifes family and have been since boxing day. 2 more days and then I can finally get back home and play some FF8.

We'll get beat. Comfortably as well I imagine. 3-1.

Sadly, we never seem to be able to capitalise when results go our way. We are always just "x" amount of points off "x" place. Normlly starts with "We are just 3 points off 3rd!!" Before getting too "We are just 3 points off 6th" And then "Still only 5 points behind 6th!" The gap never closes, we just gradually drift away.

What an unbelievably infuriating manager Mowbray is. He wants us to be a possession based football team but the players simply aren't good enough. We went back to what worked, less possession, hitting on the break, using pace (arma & rothwell) in the wide positions, a focal point upfront (graham), dack buzzing around in behind. Results followed. Slowly but surely he reverted back to being more possession based and we turn into a disorganised rabble. Performances and results have suffered. Chuck in the stupid amounts of changes per game in order to keep players happy, for added frustration. He's got the best way of playing with the squad we have and yet refuses to use it. We aren't Liverpool/Man city. He's had his chance and screwed it up royally. Time to sack and try and find a manager who will actually give us an identity and way of playing. Some structure and getting the best out the limited talent we have.
