  1. Toth still looks incredibly suspect.
  2. He really rates Montgomery doesn't he? Subbing off Brittain and sticking him at right back is strange though.
  3. Going off his interview the other day, it sounds like it's more about being at a club pushing at the top end. If we were showing signs of making a real go for it for once, he'd probably stay. Basically, he can see we are totally devoid of ambition and believes he can play at a higher level.
  4. I have no doubts he'll be asking about Dolan, +4 that are in their final year.
  5. Yeah i heard that, confused at what he was on about.
  6. I agree tbh, but that ship has sailed now.
  7. Derby 2 up against WBA as well, looks like JE might just keep them up.
  8. Nope, an absolute dead rubber of the highest order.
  9. 5mins in and we don't really look up for this at all.
  10. For some reason, Woodrow is starting 🤷‍♂️
  11. Looks like Montgomery and Tyjon are in the squad today
  12. It will still be a tough game regardless.
  13. Dingles likely to get promoted today, should serve as the only needed reminder as to what this ownership has done to us.
  14. Assuming no fresh injuries, surely has to pick the same 11? Be a tough game this.
  15. How did Toth play yesterday? Any better on crosses?
  16. All 4 of Trav, Tronstad, Brittain and Hyam have outgrown Rovers in terms of wages. They will all be able to command higher salaries than the club are willing to pay. The club won't be getting any of them on new contracts and they will be actively looking to shift them all on in the summer, with the narrative being one of, a deal couldn't be agreed, they don't fit the managers way of playing or they wanted to explore the opportunity at club "x". It'll be a downgrade and as always, we'll be the ones that suffer.
  17. Missed the whole game as I was out with the family and had no phone reception to keep tabs on the game. A real (but welcome) surprise to see a 4-1 win, no strikers on the score scoresheet and Sonny on it twice! As others have said, a real frustration that this comes when all the pressure is off and the playoffs have gone. Frustrating to say the least. New contracts for Hyam, Brittain, Tronstad and Travis are a must and if the clowns in charge don't get them sorted, we should be rioting.
  18. 100% gone. His agent will have been putting the feelers out for months. He'll probably already have a contract on the table from Derby and I suspect that's where he'll end up, as I reckon Derby will be backing Eustace (much better than we did anyway), nabbing Dolan for a pittance will be a no brainer for Eustace you'd imagine (assuming they stay up) I think there will be some quietly confident Derby fans that should they stay up this season, they will be at the other end of the table next. In any case, that interview confirms to me he isn't staying.
  19. Yeah I know, they appointed Coyle but at least they had a promotion from the Championship to fall back on with that (clutching at straws here). At least, they wouldn't make the same mistake twice, right?? 😬 "We are delighted to announce the arrival of Wayne Rooney as our new head coach on a 3 year deal. Rooney, who boasts a managerial high of a 28% win percentage across 4 jobs, joins Rovers having managed just 7 wins from 40 attempts in his last 2 jobs."
  20. Yuki looking likely to be fit for this one, which is a bonus. Possibly Brittain as well. I noticed that the twitter account claiming to be some Rovers insider (Howard_RV), who fully diagnosed Yuki's injury and ruled him out for the season (in full on Mercer style) has deleted their tweet now.
  21. Despite my incredibly low opinion of the people running the show at Ewood, I don't think even they would be that stupid to appoint Rooney. He was never in the running for the job before VI was appointed (that we know of) and his overall record as a manager is laughably poor. It would probably tip the fanbase over the edge if he was appointed. Aside from that, the club has tried it's best to push a positive narrative regarding VI's appointment and there has been plenty of talk about him spearheading a "rebuild" in the summer to fit his "style". I suspect the club have put it out there as a red herring to show us what we could end up with if we don't back the current bloke.
