The financial outlay is concern, especially if Mowbray plays him out of position or leaves him mainly on the bench. If we are paying alot in both transfer fee and wages, he needs to be starting.

He's mentioned a change in formation and hes also mentioned Liverpool's set up in the past as well? 4-3-3 would make more sense than switching to a back 3, a formation we've struggled with at times when he's tried before.

I'm not adverse to signing Gallagher. We need to shift someone out if he did come in though. The problem is that if we sign him for £5m and then we don't sign a centre back, it's a total waste. I fear Mowbray is going to loan a defender and then basically sit them on the bench for the most part.

Sounds like they are selling a defender to Villa for £12m as well, just to add to the net profit.

Don't joke. Take smallwood and Davenport out and replace with a keeper and Graham and that's a potential line up for this season. It would be very Mowbray-esq to sign a powerful central midfielder in Johnson and play him out wide. Terrifying

Absolutely insane if we don't get another first choice centre back. I appreciate that you can sign good free transfers but we missed out on the one we were hoping to sign. If Mowbray doesn't put some money behind this (if no free transfers are available) he has failed spectacularly for me.

Some abysmal stats there, not surprising though. We have similarly poor stats from our CM's too. Just shows how heavily we rely on certain individuals to do something in a game.

Not sure on Hart. His career has derailed fairly spectacularly over the last few years. Not sure if he'd have any kind of return to form here with what would be in front of him, although it might be the thing he needs as he would be more the "main man" if he came. In any case, I'd rather not take the risk as the number 1 keeper slot is a vital position to fill.

I don't think we have any need for Adam. We've got Johnson, Travis, Davenport and Evan's. We then still have Smallwood (who I hope we are shifting on if possible) and presumably some academy players too. Added to that, Butterfield is also here training with us. We have far more urgent issues to resolve, such as a number 1 keeper and another starting CB.

No, I don't want to sign him either. I just had Caddis flashbacks after he played well against York the other season. So, Adam doing one thing in a meaningless game, will probably be enough for Mowbray. There are a couple of comments on that Twitter post saying "Sign him up" & "unreal player" Honestly can't believe it.

Raya wasn't ready to be our number 1 I don't think. Great shot stopper but needed to improve on a few other things, his distribution for example, was atrocious. He might develop into a great keeper and that's now the risk we're running. Mowbray will have someone lined up, seems like the Newcastle keeper, only time will tell on this one.
