Late calls to be made on Hedges, Tronstad and Gallagher. Fleck out for a month. JRC, Leonard, Carter & Barnes all still missing. -
Dilan Markanday.. potential talent or ?

He always turns up for cup games. As soon as he gets a chance in the league he looks poor again. Hopefully JE can get him playing well in the league, as he showed what he's capable of on Tuesday. -
Fair play to Ayari, Markanday & Sigurdsson, who I thought all had good games. Ayari in particular I thought was good, tenacious little bugger, gets stuck in as well. If all 3 can carry that level of performance into the league games, we suddenly look much better going into the latter part of the season.

I still get 28 in those first 18 games (undoubtedly I'll have made an error somewhere) but it's irrelevant either way, we were still conceding more goals than the majority of the league, I dont know if the averages above are in the normal ball park for goals conceded (deffo not the December onwards ones) but we weren't that good defensively (compared to the rest of the league) at best we were below average. -

Nar we weren't. (Assuming the data I'm looking at is correct) We were 17th (joint with Plymouth) for goals conceded (28), we were propped up heavily by the fact we were the 5th higgest goal scorers by this point (31). We've been down in the lower echelons for goals conceded for the majority of the season. Clearly the wheels fell off in spectacular fashion from December onwards. Results were obviously good enough to see us sit 7th at the time but clearly the "outscoring the opposition tactic" wasn't sustainable in the long run. -

According to Jackson, that's the first time we've come from a goal behind to get at least a point, at Ewood this season. And it's only the second goal from a set piece we've scored this season. Jesus wept.
