  1. Six of us making the trip. Not sure why as expectations of a good result under Mowbray’s misfits are not high. Plenty of seats still available when we booked last week QPR took a hammering at Fulham on Saturday and will be looking to bounce back. Rovers are a banker to concede at least one so will need to score at least 3 to win. I’ll be optimistic and go QPR 2 Rovers 2
  2. It's pathetic, it really is. Another Saturday when spirits were lifted only to be beaten down again Tony, please go. Your time is up
  3. Give us some of the glue you're sniffing Sparks!
  4. FFS, it really is pathetic. Go away Mowbray
  5. Great start by Rovers against a decent side in good form with a manager I'd prefer to Mowbray! Can we not concede please?
  6. Ian Wright's grandson in a Rovers shirt.... he's now at Stoke City https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/58916997 Was he a good player for us?
  7. There's no bigger dinosaur than our Tony. He was yesterday's man when he arrived at Ewood all those years ago
  8. You're obsessed with Foden. He's good but not a world beater.
  9. No such entity as the "EPL" but I don't know how the Premier league can actually say this The worst thing is the reaction of the Newcastle fans. I've seen them on the news literally crying with delight that their club has been taken over by probably the worst regime on earth. It's not just a bunch of rich guys from Saudi Arabia either, the consortium is 80% owned by the despotic Saudi regime itself! This lot would probably carry out executions of local journalists who might dare to criticise the takeover, on the pitch, and Newcastle fans wouldn't care as long as they think they're going to sign Mbappe Cue post from chaddy saying they won't actually execute anyone on the pitch
  10. It was intended to tongue in cheek ..... but these things always go straight over your head
  11. Many people in the UK aren't happy about flogging arms to them - or having any connection with them at all But we're not alone. The US still sees the Saudis as important allies despite Saudis largely being behind 9/11
  12. Will women be allowed to attend Newcastle home games? Fair enough that Toon fans were celebrating getting rid of Ashley but having a party over the arrival of MBS’s murderous regime is beyond pale. If they had some banners protesting against the vile murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the first home game I might have more respect for them
  13. Blimey, you've got some strange ideas Calvert-Lewin is top class, a real talent. I'd like to see him get a run in the England team. Pace and movement, and a natural finisher Foden isn't "considerably better" than Grealish either. Grealish is a special player. He'd be my first pick in midfield. Agree that Greenwood needs to play, and I just don't rate Mount.
  14. This is how you get rid of unpopular managers. It's how we did it 50 years ago too Over to you young 'uns https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58771069
  15. So another great English football institution falls into foreign hands. Anyone surprised that Britain welcomes such shady money hasn’t been paying attention. Newcastle’s fans seem equally unbothered by Saudi Arabia’s abuses against women, political prisoners, Yemenis, Khashoggi and others. They are just pleased that MBS might buy them some trophies. There’s a reason why Roberto Saviano, the Italian expert on the mafia, calls Britain “the most corrupt country in the world”. Britain's moral, economic and political degeneration continues, and at some point there will be nothing left to sell.
  16. This is how you deal with managers if a better one becomes available https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58778757 Ranieri is the 14th managerial change under Watford's owners, the Pozzo family, since they took over in 2012. His predecessor won promotion last season
  17. Why would he praise opposition fans?
  18. Match was lost in the first 25 minutes..... why were Rovers so lethargic and pitiful? Gallagher got hooked early which indicated Mowbray wasn't happy with him over something The gentle decline down the table continues
  19. Can we put our shirt on a second-half comeback? Or are the jersey boys heading for a stuffing? Mercer to blame again after predicting an easy win
  20. One poster was correct. Goalkeepers' sometimes are called jerseys. Outfield players wear shirts. No one calls them jerseys. No one
  21. No one who's played the game or follows the game call them jerseys
  22. And so it begins. Another Tony death spiral
  23. Anyone who's played the game or knows anything about the game call them shirts Mind blowing but true
  24. They're called football shirts
