  1. We didn’t have to let him go. We’ve signed someone who was offered to us. And he’s not what we need. You can’t make it from dot 1 to 2.
  2. When you’re in a potential relegation battle with a an inexperienced and injury hit squad you don’t ship out one of your most experienced players who can play a number of positions even if he’s out of the manager’s good books at present. It’s easy to join up the dots
  3. This new kid looks and sounds like another Moran….technically good but not fully developed physically and not ready for the tough cut and thrust of the championship Exactly what we do not need
  4. The squad is desperately lacking experience and no, letting him go in that regard doesn’t make any sense. It looks like yet another cost cutting measure to me pure and simple
  5. Blimey I bet Travis can’t believe his luck, moving to a club pushing for automatic promotion from one sinking into a relegation battle Good luck to him. I imagine CambridgeRover is delighted 😀
  6. Would you really pay hard cash for Markanday? I've seen nothing to warrant making him a permanent member of staff - unless we're building a squad to play in League One
  7. How many points has Wahlstedt cost us this season - 10 to 15? I've lost count of his mistakes but he alone could be the difference between us staying in this division or going down. Sell Travis and whoever and make Rotherham an offer for their keeper.
  8. Forgot to mention Tronstad had an excellent game yesterday. Never wasted a ball or rarely put a foot wrong. My man of the match not Pickering
  9. See my previous reply. He wasn't to blame to either
  10. If you mean yesterday's match the first goal was all down to the goalkeeper The second was an excellent cross and headed goal - sometime you have to give credit
  11. Hill had a good game yesterday and is a big loss IMO. The Crewe lad had better be good if he's the Hill replacement Our best signing for the window would be the Rotherham goalkeeper
  12. View from our day out in the posh seats: Broughton, Waggott and what looked like a deputation from India were only a few yards from our group. Oh to have been a fly on the wall to that conversation after the match Also, Gordon Taylor was there, sitting on his own. Is he a regular at Ewood? The Premier Suite was good and the staff excellent but like the rest of the ground it's looking a bit tired and in need of a revamp. The toilets need ripping out next week As for the game, Broughton has so much to answer for. Rotherham had a proper keeper in goal - great saves, catches crosses and bosses his 6-yard box. Then we have that clown in goal for us. Rovers could have been 3-0 ahead after 25 minutes but will be thankful for the draw after a poor second half. Unless some of the injured players come back soon or we make some decent signings this month we will be in a relegation scrap: I've no doubt about that.
  13. For the first and most likely only time we’ll be in the posh seats for this one so let’s hope Rovers don’t take the taste away from all those lovely prawn sandwiches. This dreadful losing streak has to end or I really think Tomasson will be considering his position Rovers 2 Millers 1
  14. Six defeats in the past 7 matches. It's no fun at all unless playing "attractive football" while losing floats your boat
  15. Possibly one or two but certainly far fewer than those who praised us after taking the three points. I’d say the praise is condescending more than anything and contrary to what Rosenior said of course they’d love to play us every week. We’re easy to beat
  16. Not sure about that. As stated previously our defenders are of a good Championship standard yet the defending at times has been calamitous. The selections and tactics often haven’t made sense. We should not have lost so many games and Tomasson seems incapable of ekeing out battling draws - yesterday being a prime example
  17. Alternatively, we're in freefall and Tomasson doesn't know how to stop the slide. That's his job - and at the moment he's been found wanting
  18. Forgetting the current clown in goal, we have a decent set of Championship defenders and a couple of defensive midfielders to protect them Yet we keep making basic defensive errors and shipping goals at a prodigious rate. That's not down to the owners or the management, that's down to the man in the dugout
  19. Tomasson's is being exposed as a coach who gets his team playing attractive football (sometimes) but is weak defensively, prone to mistakes, and buckle under the slightest pressure The club's deeper problems aside, there's too many folk making excuses for him
  20. A good managing director would haul him in the office and demand an explanation. Injuries etc etc are a legitimate excuse but what’s going on is not good enough
  21. Ferrets scrambling to engage backwards gear here. Let’s see how the second half goes
