  1. Dennis should strengthen the team but is he match fit? The lad from Luton will be a bench warmer - I can't see with his (lack of) pedigree and record how he'd be a first pick And they're loans, meaning we're likely have to start all over again in the summer All in all, that's a poor window (again). As little money spent as possible, and will we really be that much better? Meanwhile, Sheffield United have brought in Ben Brereton-Diaz, Hamza Choudhury, Tom Cannon and Rob Holding, That's what you do when you're in a position of strength And WBA filched Adam Armstrong from Soton. Did we know he was available, did we ask?
  2. Yup, I'll be there to watch him score too It's inevitable
  3. This last minute drama is ridiculous These signings should have been sealed early today Other clubs in desperate need of players like Rovers would have done them weeks ago
  4. You’ve said this before. Really don’t see it. He’s not tough enough for English football
  5. Both players being reported close to signing on the BBC now - a trusted source. Have to say Woodrow ‘s goalscoring record doesn’t inspire. What do they see in him except a cheap shirt filler? Desperation signing
  6. Dennis Nielsen? He would be lethal in our attack
  7. Traffic jam on the M1 standstill till midnight Could only happen to Rovers
  8. Confirmed that he was a very good player 5 years ago but is always injured now?
  9. Are we sure it's Emmanuel and not his brother Les?
  10. This is heading to be the worst of all windows under this regime - and that's saying something. I know this has been said many times but it just reiterates the point that for the 3rd year (or 4th?) in a row there is clearly no desire or ambition by the club management to make the top 6. I'm not sure whether anger or resignation are the right emotions. Either way, fans (and the town) do no deserve this
  11. Our group's losing streak has to end at some point and there's no better time than Tuesday as Rovers have a reasonably good record at Loftus Road. QPR 1 Rovers 2
  12. McEvoy is a good comparison. Both great players for Rovers
  13. Szmodics didn't look anything special in his first season with us, as many noted You of course spotted a 30-goal a season player from his arrival. Well done. All hail and praise.
  14. You have to wonder why Portsmouth and Plymouth reportedly want Leonard. He’s a League 2 player at best
  15. His official name is Guere (who?) - that well known typing error The lad has scored 3 goals in 27 games which is poor but his all round game is visibly improving - but then it needed to. He's aged 27, so he's hardly in the "promising" category. What we see now could be as good as he gets
  16. We keep going on the basis our luck has to change some time. Won’t it?
  17. Maybe but they had 3 clear cut chances and could have had a pen. Don’t get me wrong we deserved it overall but those last 15 minutes were agonising to watch and we might easily have lost Anyway on to the next game and QPR away. Our group is going and we haven’t seen a win this season yet
  18. Beck should have scored, agreed, but some fans are in denial about how lucky we were not to lose that match in the last 15 minutes. Overall though we shaded it and the players deserved it too for the massive shift they put in over 90 minutes and the bad luck we’ve also suffered in some recent games
  19. Yes he did Den. Credit to him though, he’s developing well, gaining confidence, it’s obvious the coaching staff and the player himself have been working hard on his game. Total contrast to the frankly embarrassing poor player he looked not that many weeks ago
  20. They weren.t but McCann, Greenwood and Riis all missed decent 2nd half chances and the penalty could easily have been given We rode our luck but hard work saw us through
  21. I thought Guere (who) had a very good first half but was virtually anonymous in the second and went missing when we needed him to take some pressure off our overworked midfield. He's definitely improving but needs to put in a solid 90 minutes every game before we can say we've got a decent Championship player.
  22. Mmmm, didn't see it that way. We were on the backfoot most of the time and Preston created several good chances 2 of which they should have scored. Our midfield virtually disappeared once Travis went off Good win though. We deserve a break
  23. Lady luck smiled on us. Dodgy penalty and Preston dominated 2nd half Hands up, we didn't really deserve that but we deserve some luck
  24. Pears clanger? It's going to be a nervy 3 mins
  25. Rare case of Rovers benefiting from a dodgy refereeing decision. PNE blasted over the bar again.
