An amateur player would be banned from the game for what Milutin Osmajić did.

You're not the only one. I looked around me halfway through the second half at the Ricoh and it was a sea of faces stunned in disbelief at what we were witnessing. After a poor first half you thought there would be an improvement but Rovers got worse, started by Dolan's imbecilic run back towards his own goal The idiot wants a big pay rise by all accounts. If I were the manager I'd fine him and cut his wages after last night. He was dreadful - and that in a team that was dire from back to front for 95 agonising minutes -

I'm still in a grumpy mood after witnessing that inept display at the Ricoh. I've rarely seen Rovers fans stunned into silence and so many leave the ground early. This will be another defeat, for sure. 2-0 at best. -

It’s inexplicable why Rovers were so poor. Not one player played well. Soft first goal and ridiculous second, and zero reaction to both. We didn’t deserve to score and Coventry could have had 5. And another thing: why did some of the few fans remaining at the end clap the players? Embarrassing and bloody awful evening and now a long drive home. Fuming 😡 -

I think that was one of the most abysmal performances I’ve witnessed in 55 years of watching Rovers Pathetic -

Sorry Mercer we don’t have “offensive” players in this country. It’s a US term . Attackers please I’d like to see a more attacking starting team too. Coventry’s confidence must be fairly low so the plan must be to hit them hard early and grab a couple of goals -

It’s not as easy as to use as if should be, and the software that drives it doesn’t seem stable. Basically it’s gives the appearance of being a poor, cheap site. The match worries me. Coventry have started the season badly and are due a win. And we haven’t lost. That’s not a good combination as we have a history of messing up matches we ought to win. Plus I’ve never seen Rovers beat Coventry home or away, going back to the infamous match at Ewood in 1967. My worst jinx team. There’s 3 of us going to the Ricoh. Hopefully the spell will be broken -
Can he jump over a Mini though?

I was told categorically yesterday that ticket sales over the phone have ended. -

Some folk are missing the point. What they're saying is that they no longer sell tickets over the phone and tickets must be purchased online. In both cases the tickets are posted out For fans who cannot get to Ewood, or don't like using the internet, buying over the phone was easy and seamless - but is now not available because of the drive to go digital only. I cannot imagine they're saving much if any money by axing telephone sales - and people will still have to be employed to send out the tickets anyway. With a shrinking fanbase it doesn't make sense to me to reduce the number of ways in which fans can access tickets - but CEOs are paid £300,000 a year to make these decisions so you have to assume they know better -

Yes, Coventry’s decision apparently and probably part of the national dash to eliminate cash. The irony is last season I tried to pay on the gate with card but they said they took cash only - cue desperate dash by me to the nearest supermarket hole in the wall in order to make kickoff. Rovers decision not to sell tickets over the phone does not make sense for the reasons you stated. For me it was the most convenient way to buy away tickets and avoided having to use the clunky and often unusable rovers.co.uk website. I understand this digital drive but the club should still offer other ways of purchasing tickets and for those unhappy with the changes all it does is give people another reason not to attend matches. To me it’s just another example of poor management by the club -
Advance warning: this fixture is no longer pay on the gate And away tickets can no longer be ordered over the phone and posted out through the Rovers ticket office, forcing fans to use the wonderful rovers.co.uk website

That was an awful performance and game. Rovers never out of 2nd gear.

We have to win these sort of games if we’ve got any pretentions of the top 6

Raise the tempo Ffs!

Dreadful, low key low quality game

This is poor. Team needs changing

Good effort by Lancs in the second innings against Somerset. It could stop Somerset winning the title but will it be enough to prevent Lancs going down?

Just seen the highlights - two excellent goals from the Japanese lad, very much like Sammie in that he picks his spot and "passes" the ball into the net. Great win and a welcome tonic after an afternoon umpiring a cricket match and getting dog's abuse from players. If anyone's thinking of having a go - don't bother, it's not worth it. -

There's definitely a hoodoo with some teams Away from home I've never seen us beat Coventry, Reading or, years ago, West Ham. My last 2 visits to Coventry were both abject defeats Warning: I'm going on 1st October -
Tomasson had Rovers playing the same way and it drove me mad at times. It was great when it came off but all too often it didn't I remember particularly a game at Luton where they pressed us hard for 10 minutes at the start of the second half and we gave the ball away twice to gift them 2 goals. And that was it - game over.

On away trips just about every club we visit has a ticket office open before the match. I can’t think of any that don’t offhand. Penny pinching. It’s really pathetic by Waggott but typical of the way he runs the club. -

Too late. The Midlands was mooted as the site for a new national stadium instead of rebuilding Wembley - a site was identified near road and rail links that would have been ideal for fans across the country and help drive economic activity away from the south-east but the "authorities" decided to stay in London. The fact that the area around Wembley has also been entirely rebuilt with shopping centres, entertainment venues and blocks of high-rise expensive apartments is co-incidental of course. Nothing changes - London always wins because that's where the government is The FA won't be holding game around England anytime soon. -

We had some great night at Wembley for friendly internationals back in the day. There were far fewer matches so it was much more of an occasion and the old ground always seemed to be rocking with fans singing and enjoying themselves and getting behind the national team. I enjoyed the game tonight and thought Carsley's England was a big improvement on Southgate's but Wembley was half empty and seemed like a morgue compared with the great days. Sad. I blame the Champions League -

Pretty good half - quite enjoyable to watch. England played at a much higher tempo than under Southgate and it was good to see 2 wingers on show - when was the last time that happened? Grealish playing well underlining the daft decision not to take him to the Euros
